Statement of Work / Specification Document Small Molecule Library

GENERAL INFORMATION

1.0 Scope of Work: Acquire a small molecule chemical library for conducting drug discovery research at the USDA-ARS Biological Control of Insects Research Lab in Columbia, MO.

2.0 Background: Researchers within the BCIRL are seeking to identify natural and synthetic small molecule compounds that display biological activity against insect receptors of interest.

Various receptors have been identified from various pest insects that represent tractable targets for the development of novel insecticidal chemistries.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: Small molecule chemical library consisting of a minimum of 5,072 specific compounds (see attached list). Compounds are to be delivered in solution (e.g. in DMSO) in 96-well deep-well block format. A minimum of 100uL of a 10mM solution is required for each chemical. Chemicals are to be shipped on dry ice.

3.1 Attachment: List of 5,072 chemicals required to be present in small molecule library.
