STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT

Presray door gaskets for USDA Lab Facility USDA/NCAH needs six (6) replacement fabric-reinforced pneuma-seal door gaskets for the custom 4’-0” x 8’-0” airtight doors that are designed specifically for biocontainment on the BSL-3AG Building 9 facilities for ultimate containment of select agent materials. These doors and gaskets are used to ensure containment of the BSL-3/select agent biologics within the building will not escape into the surrounding atmosphere potentially placing people and surrounding agriculture in danger. The specific model of the door gasket is:

PRS581-BIO4-X-10227-11-06.

The door gaskets shall be designed, engineered, and manufactured to:

• OEM replacements of the existing gaskets,

• Match up with all connection points to the existing doors and wall faces

• Hold a pressure difference of 8” water column on either side of door without leakage.

• Withstand all necessary pressure tests per ARS 242.1.

• Withstand gases corrosive in nature including 8500 – ppm formaldehyde concentration, or VHP gases.

• Withstand and resist effects of the following materials:

o 70% Ethanol.

o Isopropyl Alcohol up to 85% o 2% glutaraldehyde.

o 37% liquid formaldehyde/10% methanol.

o 5% sodium hypochlorite.

o Chlorine (500-10,000 ppm).

o 3% phenolics.

o 0.47% iodophores/iodine.

o 2% quaternary ammonium compounds (qac).

o Hydrogen peroxide ~30% solution in water.

o 4% chlorhexidine.

The delivery shall take place during normal business hours of facility operation, Monday thru Friday 08:00am-04:30pm CST. The delivery shall be pre-arranged so that escort to the delivery location can be arranged with USDA Lab facility personnel.
