This is a Special Notice announcing the CDC's intent to add three open market items to a pending blanket purchase agreement (BPA) for immunoglobulin E (IgE) testing services under Veterans Administration federal supply schedule contract V797D-70090. The three items to be added are: (1) an initial requirements checklist for the BPA's base period, (2) laboratory manuals, and (3) quarterly reports for both the base and optional periods.
The items constitute approximately 2% of the total BPA value and have been determined to be fair and reasonable. While this is not a solicitation, interested firms may submit responses demonstrating their capability to meet these requirements by February 27 at 12 p.m. Eastern Time via email to Michael Gilham at ueh8@cdc.gov. The government reserves discretion on whether to compete these requirements based on responses received.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to add three open market items for administrative convenience – in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 8.402 (f) – to its pending blanket purchase agreement (BPA) for immunoglobulin E (IgE) testing services under Veterans Administration federal supply schedule contract V797D-70090; specifically, an initial requirements checklist under the BPA’s base period; as well as laboratory manuals and quarterly reports under the base and each subsequent optional period.
Collectively, the described items constitute approximately 2% of the overall value of the BPA and their prices have been determined to be fair and reasonable.
In no way does this notice constitute a solicitation. However, any firm that believes itself capable of meeting the requirements described herein may submit a response which will be considered if received before 27 February at 12 p.m. Eastern Time. A determination not to compete the described requirement based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the government.
