PART I - THE SCHEDULE

SECTION B

SUPPLIES OR SERVICES AND PRICES/COSTS

Quantity: The required quantity is not known at this time. The quantities reflected in the Schedule and Pricing Matrix represent the Government’s Best Estimated Quantities (BEQs) based on the actual history and projected requirements. These BEQs do not represent a minimum or a maximum quantity. Failure of the Government to order the BEQ quantity shall not entitle the contractor to an equitable adjustment in price under the contract.

Note 1: The Government intends to award a single Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Contract for the supplies specified herein. The total period of performance for the Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Contract will not exceed five (5) years and the resultant contract will have one (1) five year ordering period. The Government anticipates a BEQ of 45 for CLIN 0003 over the entire 5 year period.

Note 2: Pricing periods will be established under a “Pricing Matrix”, included under Section J – List of Attachments, identifying kinds, quantities and unit prices for Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) 0001, 0002, 0003 and 0004 for the five year ordering period. CLINs within the solicitation may contain quantity ranges but are not limited to the quantity breakouts. Unit prices for quantity ranges should be established based on the "most economical range" falling in the particular quantity range and under the appropriate Pricing Period. The Pricing Matrix purpose is to be the Ordering Menu for all orders placed/issued over the life of the contract. The contractor is encouraged to provide economic price breaks that are considered advantageous to both the contractor and the Government.

Estimated contract value is determined based on the maximum quantity under each Pricing Period extended by the applicable unit price for that period as shown on the Pricing Matrix. For purposes of proposal submission and evaluation, supporting documentation will be provided for the BEQ of each Quantity Range for each Pricing Period and will follow the parameters set forth in FAR 15.4035(b)(1) unless stated to be otherwise made available upon request.

Period of Contract Performance will begin upon date of basic contract award announcement. Specific dates shall be established subsequent to contract award.

Note 3: Contractor is requested to include the following with their proposal as applicable in order to expedite processing time upon proposal receipt:

Actual costs from the last three years or last three completed lots

Actual rate history from the last three years

Subcontract proposals/supporting data/costprice analysis reports

See proposal adequacy checklist IAW 252.2157009

Note 4: Transportation of items delivered hereunder shall be in accordance with DD Form 1653 attached to each delivery order issued hereunder.

Note 5: Items delivered hereunder shall be packaged in accordance with AFMC Form 158 attached to each delivery order issued hereunder.

Note 6: A First Article(s) is/are required for this effort. See First Article Form, AFMC Form 260 attached in Section J, Attachments, of the Request for Proposal (RFP), SPRWA119R0031. Contractor is to pay close attention to FAR clause 52.2093(g), FIRST ARTICLE APPROVALCONTRACTOR TESTING, concerning First Article approval and production. Production units shall not be delivered until final First Article approval has been submitted by an authorized DLA PCO.
