About this file
This document outlines packaging requirements for a federal procurement. It specifies that all wood packaging materials, including wooden pallets and containers, must be constructed from debarked wood and heat treated to prevent the spread of invasive species. Shipping containers must be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129 and include additional markings such as unit serial numbers or manufacturer information as specified on the associated AFMC Form 158. The packaging requirements reference MIL-STD-2073-1 for military packaging and MIL-STD-129 for shipping and storage markings. It provides preservation, packaging, and unit pack dimensions for item 2935012377995 and notes that vendor packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1. The related federal contract opportunity is for a lubricating cooler with a pre-solicitation notice from the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation.
