F-15 WBSI
Questions and Responses 7/17/2014
Q1. April 8 Q&A response was, "The preliminary QTR deliverable (SOF) delivery prior to flight test is necessary to support the Technical and Safety Review Board proceedings at Edwards AFB which typically occur 30 days prior to legacy/baseline flight test. The flight test start identified in the TRD schedule represents the WBSI portion of the flight test."
A1. To further clarify what is required and when, the contractors should be aware there are two phases of the flight test effort: 1) legacy/baseline performance demonstration; 2) WBSI flight tests. However, the Safety Review Board is conducted for the program prior to the legacy test points which is driving the early need date for the SoF QTR. The SoF QTR is required 120 days prior to the WBSI testing phase. The final QTR is due 30 days prior to the WBSI testing phase.
