C. SEAL ALL OPENINGS TO INTERIOR WITH CAPS/PLUGS OF APPROPRIATE SIZE.

D. CENTER WRAP ON CUSHIONING ITEM A (SEE PAGE 4). AFTER SECURING ITEM WRAP EXCESS PAPER

OVER AND AROUND ITEM (SEE PAGE 5), SECURE WITH TAPE ASTM-D6123.

E. SEE PAGES 2 – 6 FOR SIZES AND ORIENTATION.

F. SEE PAGES 2 – 4 FOR HOLE DIMENSIONS AND PLACEMENT.

G. CLOSE CONTAINER IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM-D1974, METHOD 2B6.

H. CLOSE BAG BY HEAT SEAL.

LEVEL A PACKING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING WOOD-CLEATED PANELBOARD SHIPPING BOXES, CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 6251, TYPE III, CLASS 2 OR NAILED WOOD BOXES CONFORMING TO ASTM-D

6880, CLASS 2.

LEVEL B PACKING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED USING FIBERBOARD BOXES, WEATHER RESISTANT,

CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 5118 OR TRIPLEWALL, CORRUGATED FIBERBOARD BOXES, CLASS 2,

CONFORMING TO ASTM-D 5168. CLOSURE, SEALING, AND REINFORCEMENT SHALL BE IAW SPECIFIC, APPLICABLE METHODS OF ASTM-D 1974, OR AS REFERENCED IN THE CONTAINER SPECIFICATION.

WHEN TOTAL QUANTITY TO BE SHIPPED TO THE SAME DESTINATION EXCEEDS 125 POUNDS,

EXTERIOR PACKS WITHOUT SKIDS SHALL BE PALLETIZED IN ACCORDANCE WITH MIL-STD-147.
