Background:
We are conducting lab-scale batch and column experiments to understand the mobilization mechanisms of toxic oxyanions during managed aquifer recharge. Controlling oxygen concentration is a critical parameter for determining the chemical reactions, their kinetics, as well as maintaining the speciation of reaction products for the accurate measurement. We need an anaerobic chamber (glove box) system that provides a robust anaerobic atmosphere (0 – 5 ppm), an oxygen sensor and vacuum airlock for transferring experimental equipment.
Specifications and requirements:
· Vinyl Anaerobic chamber that is constructed of flexible PVC.
· Oxygen and Hydrogen monitoring sensor
· Stak-Pak with Catalyst (quantity of 4-6) that is composed of alumna pellets coated with palladium and catalyst Fan box (quantity of 2)
· Equipment entry port that can be capped and secured with gas tight tape
· Gloves and glove ports that is highly flexible vinyl frosted to prevent cracking and gas leakage
· Feed-thru adaptors for electrical wiring, tubing, or cords
· Efficient vacuum airlock for transferring equipment.
· Frame support that secures the vinyl chamber
· Installation and on-site training on the instrument.
