Text1: Bench-top Automatic Gas Pycnometer
Text2: Vendor is to deliver a bench-top automatic gas pycnometer for measuring true volume and density of porous solid samples.
Text13: Gas pycnometer is a device used in measuring the true volume and true density of porous solids. The pycnometer has two gas-tight chambers or cells, one cell for the sample and the other, an expansion cell with a fix volume. Pressurized gas will occupy the empty space in the sample cell and spaces in between (interparticle) and porous spaces within (intraparticle) the sample particles. A valve is opened and the gas will expand to the second cell. The true volume of the sample is calculated from the equilibrium pressure before and after gas has expanded and the known volumes of the empty sample cell and expansion (second) cell. True density is calculated from the true volume and the weight of the sample.
Text4: 1) Automated true volume and density analyzer
Text5: 2) Built in processor and graphical user interface.
Text6: 3) Sample volume range:10 mL to 100 mL

Text27: Government will be present during delivery and installation of equipment. If needed, the government will supply a standard loading dock to accept delivery of the unit. The government will supply a location with suitable instrument requirements (space, electricity) as needed to operate the instrument. Equipment will be delivered to 1815 North University Street, Peoria, Illinois. Given COVID restrictions, additional requirements will be in place for entrance to the lab. These will be communicated with the equipment supplier. Attempts will be made to ensure that safety is met for all parties and the equipment delivered in a timely manner.
