1.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: The automated photoacoustic gas analyzer must be compact, enclosed, and portable to accommodate fieldwork and lab work. The photoacoustic gas analyzer must have the ability to analyze different gases and concentration levels. The instrument must also have the capability of expanding sampling locations. All associated software must be included to control the analyzer. Training over the analyzer and software will be provided by the manufacturer. Individual specifications of the automated photoacoustic gas analyzer:

● System must have the option of sampling a minimum of 5 gases (Ammonia, Nitrous Oxide, Sulfur Hexafluoride, Carbon Dioxide, and Methane).

● Instrument must at a minimum be capable of simultaneously analyzing gases within the following detection parameters:

1. Ammonia, .2-2,000ppm

2. Nitrous oxide, .03-300ppm

3. Sulfur Hexafluoride, .006-60ppm

4. Carbon Dioxide, 5-5,000ppm

5. Methane, .4-4,000ppm ●System must have the ability to hold calibrations for extended period of time.

● System must have the ability to compensate for temperature and pressure fluctuations to minimize interference from gas analysis.

● Instrument must be capable of analyzing multiple sampling systems such as scrubbers, anaerobic digesters, soil flux chambers, etc.

● System must be able to change sampling times to accommodate research needs.

● Instrument must use optical filter to measure concentration of five component gases and water vapor in air sample.

● Must have the ability to operate with minimum warm-up time.

● System must include applicable software and internal data storage.

The vendor must provide a full 1-year warranty (parts and labor) on defects in components, materials, and workmanship. Vendor must supply technical support and provide on-going support for method development and validation.
