NOTICE

SITE VISIT (CONSTRUCTION) (FEB 1995), ALT I (FEB 1995) - FAR

(a) THE CLAUSES AT FAR 52.236-2, DIFFERING SITE CONDITIONS, AND FAR 52.236-3, SITE INVESTIGATIONS AND CONDITIONS AFFECTING THE WORK, WILL BE

INCLUDED IN ANY CONTRACT AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS SOLICITATION. A

ONE-TIME SITE VISIT WILL BE SCHEDULED FOR ALL PROSPECTIVE OFFERERS.

ATTENDANCE AT THE SITE VISIT IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT EACH OFFERER

SHALL HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE AT THE SITE VISIT. PROPOSALS RECEIVED FROM

ANY CONTRACTOR THAT DID NOT ATTEND THE SITE VISIT WILL NOT BE EVALUATED

(a) If an item in this solicitation is identified as "brand name or equal," the purchase description reflects the characteristics and level of quality that will satisfy the Government's needs. The salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics that "equal" products must meet are specified in the solicitation.

(b) To be considered for award, offers of "equal" products, including products of the brand name manufacturer, must --

(1) Meet the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristic specified in this solicitation;

(2) Clearly identify the item by --

(i) Brand name, if any; and

(ii) Make or model number;

(3) Include descriptive literature such as illustrations, drawings, or a clear reference to previously furnished descriptive data or information available to the Contracting Officer; and

(4) Clearly describe any modifications the Offeror plans to make in a product to make it conform to the solicitation requirements. Mark any descriptive material to clearly show the modifications.

(c) The Contracting Officer will evaluate "equal" products on the basis of information furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer and reasonably available to the Contracting Officer. NOTE: While the Government currently intends to purchase the requirements sought in this solicitation, it may nevertheless be canceled in the event of spending cutbacks necessitated by passage of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985, P.L.99-177.

SECTION 01 31 13

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

1. SCOPE: This section of the specifications covers the general requirements to enhancements of the DSCC Security Systems at Defense Supply Center Columbus, Ohio. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, materials, supplies, testing and supervision required in performing all operations in conjunction with this project in strict accordance with the specifications, contract drawing No. 6-287 (15 sheets), complete and subject to the terms and provisions of this contract. Contractor shall perform the following work to complete this project:

• Replace Bldgs. 20 & 21 drop off/ pick-up lanes hydraulic & manual bollards with RSS-4000 Electric Retractable Bollards.

• Provide Wrong Way Detection Systems at the James Road Gate.

• Correct Drainage Deficiencies at ID Check Canopy and Visitor Control Center (VCC) Bldg. 61.

• Construct Wind Screen on West Side of ID Check Canopy at Main Gate.

• Construct Wind Screens to Search Area Canopy at Main Gate.

• Installation of pipe bollard as vehicle barriers at north of ID Check Booth # 5 at main gate

• Replace existing electro-mechanical vehicle control drop beam barriers at the following (6) locations by installing RSS-3000 Electric Drop Beams:

- 18th Blvd. at East of Bldg.20

- 16th Blvd. near A Street

- 16th Blvd. near Roosevelt Lane

- Jackson Blvd. near Roosevelt Lane

- Jackson Blvd. near Pershing Avenue

- 11th Blvd. near Roosevelt Lane

2. CONTRACT DRAWINGS, FIELD VERIFICATION AND LAY OUT OF WORK: The contract drawings indicate the extent, general arrangement and approximate locations of the buildings, warehouses, facilities, structures and utility systems to be demolished; utility system demolition, repairs, replacement; and other pertinent information. If any departures from the contract drawings other than minor adjustments are deemed necessary by the contractor, details of such departures and the reasons therefore shall be submitted in writing as soon as practicable to the Contracting Officer for approval. No such departures shall be made without the written approval of the Contracting Officer.

2.1 Field Verification: In addition to the “Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work” clause under FAR 52.236.3 (Apr 1984), the Contractor shall familiarize himself thoroughly with all details of work and working conditions and verify all critical dimensions and other data in the field, and shall advise the Contracting Officer of any discrepancy before performing any work.

The contractor shall be responsible for field verification, site survey work necessary to locate and identify all work required by this project (buildings, facilities, structures and utility systems) and other pertinent information.

The contractor shall field locate, identify and mark all under ground utilities within all work areas in coordination with responsible designated DSCC facilities engineering personnel, and telecommunications support personnel prior to beginning any work.

2.2 Layout of Work: The Contractor shall establish required lines, grades, elevations, bench marks and lay out of all work, at the site, and shall be responsible for measurements in connection with the layout.

The Contractor shall furnish, at his own expense, all stakes, templates, equipment, tools, materials, and labor required to lay out all parts of the work. The Contractor shall be responsible for executing the work to the approved lay out, lines and grades established. The Contractor shall also be responsible for maintaining and preserving all stakes and other marks established by the Contracting Officer until authorized to remove them.

3. MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT: Unless otherwise specified or indicated on the drawings, all materials used in this project shall be Contractor Furnished New material and shall be in compliance with respective material specifications indicated.

3.1 Materials and equipment shall be installed in accordance with the approved recommendations and instructions of the manufacturer for obtaining conformance with the specifications and contract drawings.

3.2 Contractor furnished materials delivered to the site shall be inspected for damage, unloaded, and stored with a minimum of handling. Storage facilities shall be provided by the contractor at the job site for maintaining materials at temperatures and conditions recommended by the manufacturer. Storage accommodations shall afford easy access for inspection and identification of each shipment.

3..3 Warranty of Construction: In addition to the warranty clause as specified in FAR 52.246.21 and Alternate I (April 1984), the Contractor shall provide to the Government, upon the completion of the project, the standard warranty of the material/equipment offered by the manufacturer which extends beyond the one (1) year warranty of construction.

4 CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: This project requires the use of specialized contractors capabilities and experienced staffing. The general contractor and all key sub-contractors shall have a minimum three (3) years’ experience in all facets of construction projects under the assigned NAICS code. Offerors must provide information regarding their Technical Construction Capabilities and Technical Qualifications of Proposed Staffing, to include the individuals who will be responsible for Project Management, Quality Control, and Safety Compliance.

A) Past Performance:

• Offeror shall provide past procurement contracts and references for projects satisfactorily completed within the last three (3) years of similar size and scope. A minimum of 3and a maximum of 5 past contracts.

B) Technical Construction Capability:

• A written technical construction management plan shall be submitted by the offeror to demonstrate their understanding and capabilities of completing all work in accordance with the Statement of Work and project drawings. The plan must identify all work that can be accomplished with in-house resources and demonstrate that they are capable of obtaining any project requirements that cannot be self-performed. The technical construction management plan must identify how the offeror will directly superintend the work, perform project and quality control management, comply with safety and environmental regulations; any project requirements that cannot be self-performed must be identified (e.g. subcontractors list and manufacturers of key material components for the project) The offeror shall provide this information with their company proposal submission.

C) Technical Qualifications of Proposed Staffing:

• Written qualification statement for the individual who will be responsible for project management of the project.

Section 01 31 13 Page 3 of 6 o Qualifications The Project Manager must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager or

Superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity.

• Written qualifications statement for the individual who will be responsible for quality control in accordance with

General Requirements Section 01 45 0010 20 Paragraph 1.6.1.

o Qualifications

An individual with a minimum of 5 years combined experience as a superintendent, inspector, QC Manager, project manager, or construction manager on similar size and type construction contracts which included the major trades that are part of this contract. The individual must be familiar with the requirements of the EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.

o Construction Quality Management Training In addition to the above experience and education requirements, the QC Manager shall have completed the course Construction Quality Management for Contractors and will have a current certificate.

• Written qualifications statement for the individual who will be responsible for safety in accordance with FAR 52.236-13 Accident Prevention (Nov 1991). Accident Prevention includes compliance with the standards issued by the Secretary of Labor at 29 CFR Part 1926 and 29 CFR Part 1910; and compliance with all pertinent provisions of the latest version of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual, EM 385-1-1, in effect on the date of the solicitation. This individual will be designated as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO).

o Qualifications and Training The SSHO(s), as a minimum, must have completed the 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class or as an equivalent, 30 hours of formal construction safety and health training covering the subjects of the OSHA 30-hour course (see Appendix A, paragraph 4.b) applicable to the work to be performed and given by qualified instructors. > The SSHO is also required to have five (5) years of construction industry safety experience or three (3) years if he possesses a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or safety and health degree.

The written qualifications statement shall be certified and signed by a principle of the offeror. Offerors shall submit a resume of each key individual. This will be evaluated to determine if they have the appropriate technical training, certifications, and previous construction experience to meet the technical requirements of a project of this nature. If any of the submitted individuals will perform more than one of the listed functions, this is acceptable as long as the submitted documentation identifies any and all functions the given individual will be performing

5. OPERATIONS AND PROCEDURES: All contractors shall submit with their offer a complete and detailed summary of operations and procedures proposed for work to be accomplished. The operations and procedures must provide for a safe conduct of work, protection of personnel and property to remain in place. The operations and procedures must specifically address the following:

5.1 A Narrative Description Of What Steps Will Be Taken To Minimize Disruption Of Traffic;

Disruption of Utilities Such As Water Mains, Building Water Services, Fire Protection And Sprinkler Systems, Electrical Systems.

5.2 The Operations And Procedures Must Specifically Address Field Verification, Site Layout Of Work;

Methods Of Execution, Equipment And Materials To Be Used; Personnel Safety And Protective Equipment; Shoring, Bracing And Supports; Barriers, Barricades And Warning Devices.

5.3 Personal safety and protective equipment

5.4 Confined space testing and entry procedures.

5.5 Clean up and disposal operations.

6. COORDINATION AND COOPERATION: The Contractor involved in the performance of this project shall coordinate the work to eliminate delay and shall submit, in a format provided by the Contracting Officer, within fourteen (14) days after date of Notice to Proceed, a schedule of operations to the Contracting Officer or their authorized representative for approval. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the schedule of work approved by the Contracting Officer, unless any delay is found excusable within the meaning of the default clause, referenced elsewhere herein. The Contractor’s central point of contact on this project will be the Contracting Officer, or their authorized representative.

The areas at which the work is to be performed may remain active and operational during the performance of this contract.

It is imperative that all work performed under this contract be scheduled and phased to minimize disruption of utility systems, vehicular traffic and personnel.

6.1 Except as otherwise specified, the Contractor shall confine his work during the hours of 0700 to 1600, Monday through Friday.

7. INTERRUPTIONS OF UTILITIES:

7.1 No utility system or portion thereof or other utility service shall be interrupted or blocked off without approval of the Government Inspector.

7.2 Scheduling for interruption or shutdown of services shall be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer as part of the contractors weekly schedule, not less than fourteen (14) days prior to date of all proposed interruptions. The request shall give the following information:

(1) Nature of utility or system (sewer, water, electrical, fire sprinkler system, etc.)

(2) Size of line and location.

(3) Buildings, Family Housing Quarters, Services, and Equipment Affected.

(4) Hours and date, estimated length of time of interruption.

7.3 Water Line Disinfection and Chlorination: Each unit of water main line capped, repaired or replaced shall be disinfected as prescribed by AWWA C651 and as approved by DES-CE, the Safety and Health Office.

The water line unit to be disinfected shall be thoroughly flushed with water until all entrained dirt and mud have been removed before introducing the chlorinating material. The chlorinating material shall be either calcium hypochlorite, or sodium hypochlorite. The chlorinating material shall be introduced into the water lines in an approved manner.

In no case shall the agent be introduced in the line in a dry solid state. The treated water shall be retained in the pipe long enough to destroy all non-spore forming bacteria.

Liquefied (compressed) elemental chlorine shall not be used for disinfection.

7.3.1 When required or directed by the Government Inspector to minimize the time of interruption of water services, The "Slug Chlorination Method" prescribed by AWWA/ANSI Standard C 651-92, Section 10.4, shall be used. Copies of the regulation are available from DSCC-DW, The Safety and Health Office. Sufficient disinfectant shall be used to ensure exposure of all portions of the potable water system downstream from the replacement/repair/installation to achieve a free chlorine concentration of 300

Section 01 31 13 Page 5 of 6 mg/liter (300 ppm). In most cases, the water in the system will be considered potable immediately after treatment and flushing. Samples shall be taken and tested to affirm that the treatment was adequate.

7.3.2 Except when a shorter period is required or directed by the government inspector, the retention time shall be at least 24 hours and shall produce not less than 25 ppm of free chlorine residual throughout the line at the end of the retention period.

7.3.3 All valves on the lines being disinfected shall be opened and closed several times during the contact period. The line shall then be flushed with clean water until the residual chlorine is reduced to less than

1.0 ppm. During the flushing period, each fire hydrant on the line shall be opened and closed several times.

7.3.4 The Contractor's commercial laboratory shall accept water samples in sterilized containers and perform a bacterial examination in accordance with City and State approved methods. The commercial laboratory must be certified by the state's approving authority for examination of potable water.

7.3.5 The disinfection shall be repeated until tests indicate the absence of pollution for at lest 2 full days.

The unit will not be accepted until satisfactory bacteriological results have been obtained.

7.3.6 The test results of all water samples, taken after disinfection and flushing, shall be submitted to DSCC-DW, the Safety and Health Office, for review and to affirm that the water system is clean and safe.

In most cases, water from a properly disinfected and flushed system may be considered potable immediately after treatment.

7.3.7 The Safety and Health Office will collect samples at random and in response to complaints, have them analyzed by an equally qualified laboratory and use the results to independently evaluate the effectiveness of the disinfection procedure.

8. RECORD DRAWINGS: As part of the final inspection and acceptance, the Contractor shall furnish the Contracting Officer three (3) complete sets of reproducible record drawings size 24” x 36”, single color shall be furnished. Record Drawings shall be kept-up-to date during the process of work and shall be made available to the Contracting Officer upon request. Record drawings shall be signed by the principle of the contracting firm. The Contractor shall maintain record drawings on file at the project site.

The contractor shall enter and keep an actual record at the job site of all completed work with changes, modifications, alterations and corrections that were not shown on the contract drawings. The contractor shall enter all completed work, changes and corrections promptly, but in no case later than on a weekly basis.

9. DAILY ACTIVITY REPORTS: Shall be submitted by the Contractor to the Government Inspector each day activity, work occurs at the job site. The daily report shall include the date, contract number and title, report number, contractors name, weather conditions, work location and description of activity, work performed, safety actions, work hours, personnel, equipment, subcontractors, deliveries, and other pertinent information. A sample Daily Activity Report form to be used by the contractor is provided on page 15 of Section 01 35 31 (Rev 8/9/11).

10. PROTECTION FROM DAMAGE: The contractor shall take all the necessary precautions to protect Government equipment and property at the job site, and shall be responsible for any damage to equipment and property that may occur as a result of negligence in connection with the prosecution of the work performed. Damage to Government equipment or property shall be repaired by the contractor at the contractor’s expense.

11. DUST CONTROL: The amount of dust resulting from any work performed shall be controlled to prevent the spread of dust and to avoid creation of hazardous or objectionable conditions such as ice, flooding and pollution.

12. CLEAN UP: Upon completion of the work at the end of each work shift, the contractor shall leave the premises in a clean and neat condition satisfactory to the Government Inspector. Drop cloths or other suitable methods shall be used as required to protect the equipment and the personnel. Contractor shall remove the rubbish and debris from Government property daily, unless otherwise directed.

12.1 Remove and transport all debris and rubbish from the project site in a manner that will prevent spillage from streets and adjacent areas. The contractor shall comply with all applicable Federal, State and Local hauling and disposal regulations.

13. FINAL INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE: Upon completion of the entire project, a final inspection will be performed by the contractor, the contracting officer and authorized representatives from the Facilities Engineering Division, DES-CI and DES-CS.

14. SPECIAL PROVISIONS:

The contractor shall provide and maintain temporary safety fencing or other approved barriers around project site.

PART 1 GENERAL

1.1 SUMMARY

The engineering representative may request submittals in addition to those specified when deemed necessary to adequately describe the work covered in the respective sections.

Units of weights and measures used on all submittals are to be the same as those used in the contract drawings.

Each submittal is to be complete and in sufficient detail to allow ready determination of compliance with contract requirements.

Contractor's Quality Control (CQC) System Manager and the Designer of Record, if applicable, to check and approve all items prior to submittal and stamp, sign, and date indicating action taken. Proposed deviations from the contract requirements are to be clearly identified. Include within submittals items such as: Contractor's, manufacturer's, or fabricator's drawings; descriptive literature including (but not limited

to) catalog cuts, diagrams, operating charts or curves; test reports;

test cylinders; samples; O&M manuals (including parts list);

certifications; warranties; and other such required submittals.

Submittals requiring Government approval are to be scheduled and made prior to the acquisition of the material or equipment covered thereby.

Pick up and dispose of samples not incorporated into the work in accordance with manufacturer's Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and in compliance with existing laws and regulations.

A submittal register showing items of equipment and materials for when submittals are required by the specifications is provided as "Appendix A

- Submittal Register".

1.2 DEFINITIONS

1.2.1 Submittal Descriptions (SD)

Submittals requirements are specified in the technical sections.

Submittals are identified by Submittal Description (SD) numbers and titles as follows:

SD-01 Preconstruction Submittals

Submittals which are required prior to start of construction (work), commencing work on site or the start of the next major phase of the construction on a multi-phase contract, includes schedules, tabular list of data, or tabular list including location, features, or other pertinent information regarding products, materials, equipment, or components to be used in the work.

Drawings prepared by or for the Contractor to show how multiple systems and interdisciplinary work will be coordinated.

SD-03 Product Data

Catalog cuts, illustrations, schedules, diagrams, performance charts, instructions and brochures illustrating size, physical appearance and other characteristics of materials, systems or equipment for some portion of the work.

Samples of warranty language when the contract requires extended product warranties.

SD-04 Samples

Fabricated or unfabricated physical examples of materials, equipment or workmanship that illustrate functional and aesthetic characteristics of a material or product and establish standards by which the work can be judged.

Color samples from the manufacturer's standard line (or custom color samples if specified) to be used in selecting or approving colors for the project.

Field samples and mock-ups constructed on the project site establish standards by which the ensuring work can be judged. Includes assemblies or portions of assemblies which are to be incorporated into the project and those which will be removed at conclusion of the work.

SD-05 Design Data Design calculations, mix designs, analyses or other data pertaining to a part of work.

Design submittals, design substantiation submittals and extensions of design submittals.

SD-06 Test Reports

Report signed by authorized official of testing laboratory that a material, product or system identical to the material, product or system to be provided has been tested in accord with specified requirements. Unless specified in another section, testing must have been within three years of date of contract award for the project.

Report which includes findings of a test required to be performed by the Contractor on an actual portion of the work or prototype prepared for the project before shipment to job site.

Report which includes finding of a test made at the job site or on sample taken from the job site, on portion of work during or after installation.

Investigation reports.

Daily logs and checklists.

Final acceptance test and operational test procedure.

SD-07 Certificates

Statements printed on the manufacturer's letterhead and signed by responsible officials of manufacturer of product, system or material attesting that product, system or material meets specification requirements. Must be dated after award of project contract and clearly name the project.

Document required of Contractor, or of a manufacturer, supplier, installer or Subcontractor through Contractor. The document purpose is to further promote the orderly progression of a portion of the work by documenting procedures, acceptability of methods or personnel qualifications.

Confined space entry permits.

Text of posted operating instructions.

SD-08 Manufacturer's Instructions

Preprinted material describing installation of a product, system or material, including special notices and (MSDS)concerning impedances, hazards and safety precautions.

SD-09 Manufacturer's Field Reports

Documentation of the testing and verification actions taken by manufacturer's representative at the job site, in the vicinity of the job site, or on a sample taken from the job site, on a portion of the work, during or after installation, to confirm compliance with manufacturer's standards or instructions. The documentation must be

SECTION 01 33 00 Page 6 signed by an authorized official of a testing laboratory or agency and state the test results; and indicate whether the material, product, or system has passed or failed the test.

Factory test reports.

SD-10 Operation and Maintenance Data

Data that is furnished by the manufacturer, or the system provider, to the equipment operating and maintenance personnel, including manufacturer's help and product line documentation necessary to maintain and install equipment. This data is needed by operating and maintenance personnel for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance and repair of the item.

This data is intended to be incorporated in an operations and maintenance manual or control system.

SD-11 Closeout Submittals

Documentation to record compliance with technical or administrative requirements or to establish an administrative mechanism.

Submittals required for Guiding Principle Validation (GPV) or Third Party Certification (TPC).

Special requirements necessary to properly close out a construction contract. For example, Record Drawings and as-built drawings. Also, submittal requirements necessary to properly close out a major phase of construction on a multi-phase contract.

1.2.2 Approving Authority

Office or designated person authorized to approve submittal.

1.2.3 Work

As used in this section, on- and off-site construction required by contract documents, including labor necessary to produce submittals, except those SD-01 Pre-Construction Submittals noted above, construction, materials, products, equipment, and systems incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.

1.3 SUBMITTALS

Government approval is required for submittals with a "G" designation;

submittals not having a "G" designation are for Contractor QC approval.

Government approval is required for any deviations from the Solicitation or Accepted Proposal and other items as designated by the Contracting Officer. Within the terms of the Contract Clause SPECIFICATIONS AND DRAWINGS FOR CONSTRUCTION, they are considered to be "shop drawings."

1.4.2 For Information Only (FIO)

Submittals not requiring Government approval will be for information only.

For Design-build construction all submittals not requiring Designer of Record or Government approval will be for information only. They are not considered to be "shop drawings" within the terms of the Contract Clause referred to above.

1.5 FORWARDING SUBMITTALS REQUIRING GOVERNMENT APPROVAL

1.5.1 Submittals Required from the Contractor

As soon as practicable after award of contract, and before procurement of fabrication, forward to the engineering and the contracting offices submittals required in the technical sections of this specification, including shop drawings, product data and samples.

The engineering representative will review and approve for the Contracting Officer those submittals reserved for Contracting Officer approval to verify submittals comply with the contract requirements.

1.5.1.1 O&M Data

The Facility Engineering Representative will review and approve for the Contracting Officer O&M Data to verify the submittals comply with the contract requirements; submit data specified for a given item within 30 calendar days after the item is delivered to the contract site.

In the event the Contractor fails to deliver O&M Data within the time limits specified, the Contracting Officer may withhold from progress payments 50 percent of the price of the item with which such O&M Data are applicable.

1.6 PREPARATION

1.6.1 Transmittal Form

Use the transmittal form ENG Form 4025-R for submitting both Government approved and information only submittals in accordance with the instructions on the reverse side of the form. This form may be provided upon request or is available at the USACE Publications website:

Properly complete this form by filling out all the heading blank spaces and identifying each item submitted. Exercise special care to ensure proper listing of the specification paragraph and sheet number of the contract drawings pertinent to the data submitted for each item.

1.6.2 Identifying Submittals

When submittals are provided by a Subcontractor, the Prime Contractor is to prepare, review and stamp with Contractor's approval all specified submittals prior to submitting for Government approval.

Identify submittals, except sample installations and sample panels, with the following information permanently adhered to or noted on each separate component of each submittal and noted on transmittal form. Mark each copy of each submittal identically, with the following:

a. Project title and location.

b. Construction contract number.

c. Date of the drawings and revisions.

d. Name, address, and telephone number of subcontractor, supplier, manufacturer and any other subcontractor associated with the submittal.

e. Section number of the specification section by which submittal is required.

f. Submittal description (SD) number of each component of submittal.

g. When a resubmission, add alphabetic suffix on submittal description, for example, submittal 18 would become 18A, to indicate resubmission.

h. Product identification and location in project.

1.6.3 Format for SD-02 Shop Drawings

Shop drawings are not to be less than 8 1/2 by 11 inches nor more than 30 by 42 inches, except for full size patterns or templates. Prepare drawings to accurate size, with scale indicated, unless other form is required.

Drawings are to be suitable for reproduction and be of a quality to produce clear, distinct lines and letters with dark lines on a white background.

Present 8 1/2 by 11 inches sized shop drawings as part of the bound volume for submittals required by section. Present larger drawings in sets.

Include on each drawing the drawing title, number, date, and revision numbers and dates, in addition to information required in paragraph

IDENTIFYING SUBMITTALS.

Number drawings in a logical sequence. Each drawing is to bear the number of the submittal in a uniform location adjacent to the title block. Place the Government contract number in the margin, immediately below the title block, for each drawing.

Dimension drawings, except diagrams and schematic drawings; prepare drawings demonstrating interface with other trades to scale. Use the same unit of measure for shop drawings as indicated on the contract drawings.

Identify materials and products for work shown. Include the nameplate data, size and capacity on drawings. Also include applicable federal, military, industry and technical society publication references.

Submit drawings PDF format.

1.6.4 Format of SD-03 Product Data and SD-08 Manufacturer's Instructions

Present product data submittals for each section as a complete, bound volume. Include table of contents, listing page and catalog item numbers for product data.

Indicate, by prominent notation, each product which is being submitted;

indicate specification section number and paragraph number to which it pertains. Supplement product data with material prepared for project to satisfy submittal requirements for which product data does not exist.
