Statement of Work For Inspection/Servicing/Repair of Carson City District Fire Extinguishers and Facility Fire Suppression System

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: Provide all necessary labor, equipment, supplies, mileage, and materials necessary:

To inspect and test Building Fire Alarm and Sprinkler System, and any other built in fire extinguishing systems such as dry chemical systems. Annually (Base Year plus 4 Option Years) Inspect and test facilities fire suppression system, and backflow preventor. Annually inspect and test domestic water backflow preventor. Annually inspect and test agriculture backflow preventor.

Annually Inspect, recharge, of all fire extinguishers during the Annual Service of the Fire Extinguishers.

Period Of Performance: The Vendor shall perform the required services within 60 days after receipt of order (ARO). This contract will have a Base Year and 4 Option years. Each base year is expected to have the service completed within 60 days ARO.

Place Of Performance: There are 4 Bureau of Land Management facilities were Place of Performance of this contract will occur. Those facilities are.

· Palomino Valley Fire Station, 5605 Grass Valley Road, Reno, NV. 89510

· Silver State Hot Shot Operations Center, 3250 Hobo Hot Springs Road, Minden, NV. 89423

· Carson City District Office (Fire Extinguishers Only), 5665 Morgan Mill Road, Carson City NV. 89701

· Stead Airtanker Base (Fire Extinguishers Only), 14600 Maryland St. Reno, NV 89423

Specific Requirements: The contractor shall perform the following tasks:

· The contractor must be licensed in the State of Nevada under NRS Chapter 477 and comply with NFPA 10, NFPA 25 and other Federal, State, or local requirements.

· Inspect and test, facility fire sprinkler/suppression systems.

· Inspect gauges, control devices, alarm devices, pipe and fittings, sprinklers, valves, and other appliances that is part of the sprinkler system.

· Perform “5” year test on sprinkler system internal pipe inspections according to NFPA 25 requirements. Base year only.

· Inspect, test domestic and agriculture backflow preventors.

· Inspect, recharge, various size fire extinguishers in compliance with NFPA, and other Federal, State, or local requirements.

Any required Hydro-testing fire extinguishers based on NFPA 10 requirements or any repairs to facilities fire suppression system will be outside of this contract and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Number of Fire Extinguishers and location: The number, type and location of Fire Extinguisher are listed below. Although not all inclusive however, within 3% of total.

A. Carson City District Office 6 – 20lbs ABC 10 – 10lbs ABC 3 – 5lbs ABC

B. Palomino Fire Station 2 - 5.5 lbs. ABC.

3 -5 lbs. ABC 3 -10lbs. ABCII 1 -20lbs. BCIII

C. Stead Air Tanker Base 3 - 5lbs ABC 3 - 5lbs ABC 5 - 20lbs ABC 3 - 20lbs Purple K 1 - 20lbs Sodium Bicarb 5 - 20lbs 20A 120 BC multipurpose dry chemical fire extinguisher 3 - 125lbs Purple K

D. Silver State Hot Shots Operation Center 1 – 4lb ABC 2 – 5lb ABC 1 – 5.5lb ABC 10 – 10lb ABC 1 – 18lb ABC

E. Vehicle Fire Extinguishers 3 – 2.5lb ABC 28 – 5lb ABC 1 – 7lb ABC 6 – 8lb ABC 1 – 9lb ABC

This is an estimate of the total number and type of fire extinguishers. This estimate is within 2 percent plus or minus. Any fire extinguisher that is deemed un-repairable will be placed out of service. Any purchase of new fire will be outside of this contract and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Location of Facilities

The facilities listed below require annual inspection and testing for fire suppression system. These facilities also require annual testing for domestic and agriculture backflow preventors. These facilities require one five-year test of the fire suppression system.

A. Silver State Hotshots Operations Center 3250 Hobo Hot Springs Road Minden, Nevada 89423

1 Fire suppression system inspection and testing 1 Fire suppression system perform 5-year inspection, only on the first year of this contract.

1 Flammable building dry chemical fire suppression system 1 Backflow preventor inspection and testing domestic water system, yearly.

1 Backflow preventor inspection and testing agriculture irrigation water system, yearly.

B. Palomino Fire Station 5605 Grass Valley Road Reno, Nevada 89510

1 Fire suppression system inspection and testing - Main Building, yearly.

1 Fire suppression system inspection and testing – Engine Bays, yearly.

1 Fire suppression system 5-year inspection – Engine Bays only on the first year of this contract.

1 Backflow preventor inspection and testing domestic water system, yearly.

1 Backflow preventor inspection and testing agriculture irrigation water system, yearly.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Hazardous Materials: The Contractor is required to submit hazardous materials data whenever the supplies being acquired are identified as hazardous materials. The latest version of Federal Standard No. 313 (Material Safety Data Sheet, Preparation and Submission of) includes criteria for identification of hazardous materials. Hazardous material data (Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)) shall be submitted by the Contractor prior to contract award if hazardous materials are expected to be used during contract performance.

1.1. Schedule: The Contractor shall work during normal duty hours between 0800 – 1630 Monday- Friday. The Contractor shall not work during Federal holidays as listed below, if the holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed on Friday. The Contractor shall not work when Carson City District Office is officially closed by the District Manager or their acting, or under an emergency, or special event service.

Site Clean-Up and Restoration: The contractor shall ensure the work site areas and around the work site are free of any debris and materials upon completion of work each day, as well as at the completion of the job. The Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all materials and equipment at the completion of the job.

GOVERNMENT FURNISHED PROPERTY (GFP) AND SERVICES:

No Government furnish property. Contractor will provide all parts and labor.
