About this file
This document outlines a statement of work for a federal contract opportunity. The USDA Agricultural Research Service in Auburn, Alabama is seeking a service provider to utilize genome sequencing datasets from white bass, striped bass, and their hybrids to generate a list of single nucleotide polymorphisms. In collaboration with the USDA ARS, the service provider will quality control the SNPs, finalize a curated list for production of Custom Axiom 96-format microarrays, manufacture five arrays for genotyping 480 samples to be provided by the USDA ARS. The service provider will quality control and genotype the samples, deliver the data to the USDA ARS, and provide software, bioinformatics support, and field applications support to generate final quantitative trait loci data. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 12405B23Q0345 for Moronid SNP Arrays through the Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Field Research Implementation and Information Delivery.

Text version
The USDA, ARS in Auburn, AL is looking for the following service.
AffyMetrix Axiom microarrays and related services-
ARS houses multiple moronid genome sequencing datasets, including those from white bass, striped bass, and their hybrid. These genome sequencing efforts will be provided to the service provider. The service provider will utilize these resources to generate a list of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) using their in-house bioinformatics pipeline in consultation with the ARS. In collaboration with the ARS, SNPs will be assessed for quality control (QC) and a curated list of SNPs will be finalized for production of the microarray. The service provider will manufacture 5 arrays in a Custom Axiom 96-format for the analysis of 480 samples. ARS will provide samples to the service provider. The service provider will QC samples and genotype samples in-house on a GeneTitan instrument. The service provider will then deliver data to ARS and provide software (Axiom Analysis Suite), as well as bioinformatics and field applications support, to generate final QTL data.
