The Federal Bureau of Prisons is conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 10. A single solicitation will be issued for Replace Chiller #3. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Federal Correctional Complex Pollock (FCC Pollock) located at 1000 Airbase Road, Pollock, LA 71467, intends to make a single award to a responsible entity that will provide all necessary equipment, labor, materials, and incidentals to replace chiller #3. The contractor is responsible to remove existing chiller and install a new one that operates with R1233zd or R514A refrigerants and must be capable of operating at a 0.45 kW/ton efficiency. It must have the capability to have an operating temperature of 34 degrees F, without the usage of glycol and a capacity of 770 tons at 60/50 Hz. It is the contractor’s responsibility to obtain permitting, should it be required. All manufacturer’s recommendations will be required to be implemented.
This sources sought questionnaire is for information purposes only. The described requirement may or may not be included in the subsequent solicitation.
A summary of the requirements is as follows: The contractor will remove existing and install new of following for two boilers: boiler burners, gas lines, wiring, and control system.

A few notes regarding all FBOP requirements:
1. The resulting solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at sam.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available. The website provides download instructions to obtain all documents relating to the solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the pre-solicitation notices, solicitation, and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most current information about the acquisition.
2. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. In order to qualify for award, your business size metrics information entered in your SAM registration must be less than or equal to the size standard specified above. You must also have the NAICS code stated.
Each bidder's SAM registration will be reviewed by the Government to confirm that your business size meets the small business size standard requirement and the stated NAICS code is listed. All bidders are urged to double check their SAM registration and update as necessary, including the size metrics information and NAICS code.
