QUESTIONS/ANSWERS

Surveillance Equipment & Training RFQ SINLEC16Q0082

Question 1: On page 3 of the solicitation (Line Item Summary), the THOR GM Keyfob Remote Control is not listed as a line item and no quantity is given. However, on page 18 the THOR GM Keyfob is specified under the section titled “suggested configuration for kits.” Does the customer intend to procure the THOR GM Keyfob Remote Control, and if so what quantity is requested?

Answer: Yes, the Government will procure one (1) THOR GM keyfob remote control.

Question 2: Does the customer intend to purchase airtime from the equipment manufacturer on a “pay as you go” basis? Or will the customer provide their own local, separately purchased cellular service for the ST825 Guardian H trackers listed in line item 8 on page 3? If the customer intends to provide their own local service, will that service be activated and made available for use during the conduct of the hands on training package?

Answer: Government will provide local service made available during training.

Question 3: Neither TSE, Inc. nor DTC have offices in Guatemala to provide local on-demand support for the items procured under this contract. However, we are willing support the customer on site as required. Will the customer agree to fund the contractor’s travel for required in country support in an agreement negotiated after an award is made?

Answer: Training and travel (if required) shall be priced out in the quote. No, travel will not be negotiated after contract award.

Question 4: The original sources sought for this effort was a small business set-aside. Even though this solicitation is unrestricted, will small business interests be advantaged in any way when the proposals are reviewed?

Answer: Small business does not have an advantage.
