About this file

This is a Statement of Work for a JEOL Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) service agreement covering a three-year period from November 5, 2025 through November 4, 2028. The service agreement encompasses four pieces of specialized equipment: a JSM-IT700HRLA Low Vacuum Scanning Electron Microscope, an MP-94320CS JEOL Chamber Scope, an MP-04330SNS Stage Navigation System, and an MP-94340BEIW Backscattered Detector. The service is to be delivered to NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio.

The agreement requires exclusive use of JEOL trained service personnel and OEM parts to maintain manufacturer warranty coverage. Key service specifications include a dedicated account manager, factory-trained engineers, telephone support with call history tracking, unlimited emergency visits, a service quality guarantee, up to two preventive maintenance visits per year, repair parts included in the service, response within one working day for service calls, inclusion of apertures and scintillators, and a 20 percent discount on additional parts purchased from the vendor's parts department. Improper maintenance using non-authorized service companies or parts suppliers could void manufacturer coverage and result in extended equipment downtime with significant negative impact to NASA operations.
