About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details NASA Ames Research Center's requirement to purchase a LaVision Software Upgrade from DaVis 10 to DaVis 11, including specific hardware and software components. The procurement includes a LED Flashlight with 72 high-power LEDs, M42 camera adapters, Scheimpflug Camera Lens Adapters, and multiple software modules such as 2D-PIV, 3D3C Tomographic PIV, Shake-the-Box, and Cluster script processing upgrades. These components are designed to enhance imaging and flow field calculation capabilities, with features like high-resolution PIV, volume reconstruction, and distributed processing.

The performance will occur at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) TDD Army in Moffett Field, California, with a 12-month performance period from the date of award. The solicitation is identified as a sole-source requirement, indicating a specific vendor (LaVision) is the only acceptable provider for these specialized scientific research and imaging equipment upgrades. The total procurement includes six distinct line items with specific OEM part numbers, quantities, and detailed technical specifications for each component.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements The NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) requires the purchase of LaVision Software Upgrade from DaVis 10 to DaVis 11, LED Illumination & Scheimpflug Mounts which will be used to upgrade the DaVis 10 software to DaVis 11, which acquires a LED light source that communicates only with the DaVis 11 proprietary software and camera hardware mounts that attach to cameras manufactured by LaVision Inc.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

Quantity OEM Part # Product Description

1 1103445

LED Flashlight 300 - array of 72 high-power LED's with +/- 5 degree divergence angles, 300 x 100 mm array, 500 - 2000 mm working distance (typical), up to 145 mJ/pulse at 200 Hz (29 mJ/pulse @ 1 kHz), up to 20 kHz repetition rate, 2.5 microsec minimum pulse width, double-pulse capability

2 1015501

M42 Adapter - for VR LAB, VEO and TMX series CMOS cameras, for attaching Scheimpflug adapters or M42 mount camera lenses

2 1108176

Scheimpflug Camera Lens Adapter (Series 3) - for F-mount camera lenses, 20° Scheimpflug tilt angle, full 360 degree adjustability about the axis of the camera (to achieve the proper Scheimpflug angle for compound viewing angles), rotation and tilt locking mechanisms

1 1105426 LaVision Software Upgrade from DaVis 10 to DaVis 11

Upgrade of dongle 13021

1 1105611

2D-PIV Software module (upgrade to DaVis 11) -high resolution PIV, second order correlation, window deformation technique, flexible acquisition menues online data analysis, vectorfield calculation, advanced post processing, averaged vectorfields in separate windows adaptive PIV routines for automatic optimization of PIV recording and processing parameters, easy upgrade to Stereo-PIV and Tomographic PIV, including PIV

Uncertainty Quantification for single vectors and derived quantities (avg, stdev, TKE, ...), using the correlation statistics method to validate experimental PIV results

1 1105655

3D3C Tomographic PIV Software module (upgrade to DaVis 11) - based on tomographic volume reconstruction and volume cross correlation instantaneous recording of a 3D3C vectorfield (3 dimensions, 3 velocity components) within a volume up to 1 million vectors per volume includes volumetric self calibration routines

The tomographic software can be easily used with most standard low speed or high speed PIV cameras.
