MEDICAL SUPPLY/59 MLRS/SGSKS IN TURN

SUBJECT: Salient Characteristics for instrument needed for the Microbiology Department.

1. Must have a small footprint. No larger than 57 inches in width and 32 inches in depth, and

69 inches in height.

2. Full automation, able to test for COVID-19 and GC/CT by PCR.

3. Use disposable tips to eliminate carryover and cross-contamination.

4. Time to first results less than 2.7-3.5 hours.

5. Sample throughput equal to or greater than 750 tests/16 hours

6. Reagent Capacity: 4 assays in any combination loaded at one time, 1000 tests capacity, and universal fluid of up to 2000 test on board

7. Ability to run multiple test orders on the same patient

8. Non-hazardous liquid waste

9. “Load-and-go” reagent preparation, with at least 8 hours of walk-away time.

10. Minimal instrument maintenance.

11. True random-access testing. STAT samples can be loaded anytime.

12. Provide a continuous process verification that ensures correct results the first time.

13. QC required only once per 24 hrs.

14. Up to 300 results per hour.

15. Wide, accessible on board menu that delivers immediate results for STAT or routine testing and disease-focused panels.

16. Customized patient reports and specialized reports to track QC trending, Levey-Jennings results and other epidemiology reports.
