Questions & Answers
March 22, 2010
1. According to "Korea Q and As" from [SA470510R0058] , a multi vendor award IDIQ is anticipated. Is this bid still a multi award IDIQ ?
A: Please refer to FAR 52.212-1(h) Multiple Awards. The Government will award in a fashion most advantageous to the Government after taking into account both direct costs of the contract and the administrative costs of administering multiple contracts.
2. I do not see the three areas (Area I, Area II, Area III). Is this bid going to be only one Area (the Republic of Korea)?
A: The concept of three areas was eliminated in favor of nationwide contracts. Please refer to the pre-solicitation posting to FEDBIZOPPS (SA4705 10 R 0058) on March 1, 2010 March 23, 2010
3. The lease term for solicitation #SA4705-10-R-0058 was 48 months. Has the contract period been changed to 60 months (Base year + 4 option years) for #SA4705-10-R-0088?
A: Yes.
4. According to the attached CLIN schedule, there is no mention about excess charge. What if the customers use more than 5K copies per month even though they requested CLIN 0001 for the initial contract? Could the vendor charge DAPS for the Excessive usage?
A: These will be Flat Rate regardless of number of copies. Please refer to the first page of the solicitation where it says "The contractor shall provide networked flat rate ...and all copies (no excess fees)."
May 19, 2010
1. The synopsis shows “**Prior submissions will not be considered.**”. I am wondering if the prior proposal still influences the award of this solicitation or not?
A: All vendors who wish to be considered for award must submit new proposals by the current closing date and time. Evaluations will be performed using only the new submissions
2. When will a vendor receive the award of this solicitation?
A: The Government intends to make an award in time to have devices placed on October 1, 2010.
3. Are only “new machines” acceptable?? Or also remanufactured machines are acceptable??
A: Please see Section 9.1 of the Statement of Work.
