RFQ Results CR#2121717 Witchtree.pdf

This document is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) results table for the Taconic Developmental Disabilities Service Office (DDSO) tree removal project at Witchtree, involving multiple tree service contractors. The project encompasses the removal of 25 marked trees at 40 Witchtree Road in Woodstock, NY, with a mandatory site visit scheduled for May 9, 2025, and a proposal submission deadline of May 22, 2025, at 8:00 PM. The scope of work includes cutting down and removing standing trees, stump grinding in lawn areas to 4 inches below grade, filling stump holes with topsoil, and reseeding with grass.

The RFQ results show five different contractors submitted quotes, with total costs ranging from $5,500 (LW Tree Service Inc.) to $39,000 (J & D Carrying & Construction Corp.). The project is not a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside and requires all contractors and subcontractors to register with the New York State Department of Labor under Labor Law Section 220-i. Contractors must adhere to strict operational guidelines, including prohibitions on motorized equipment accessing the backyard due to underground utilities, and are responsible for repairing any property or lawn damage resulting from the tree removal process.
