About this file
The document is a Project Scope prepared by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) for a tree removal project at the Witchtree IRA facility located at 40 Witchtree Road in Woodstock, NY. The scope details the removal of 25 marked trees from the property, with specific requirements including cutting down and removing standing trees, stump grinding in lawn areas to 4 inches below grade, filling stump holes with topsoil, and reseeding with grass. The project is to be completed within 60 days of receiving the purchase order, with work restricted to Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm, and all contractors required to have a minimum of 5 years of experience.
The bid price is expected to include all materials, labor, disposal fees, and site clean-up, with final acceptance determined by the Maintenance Supervisor. Critical considerations include strict limitations on equipment movement (prohibited from the backyard and required to remain on pavement), mandatory safety precautions, and careful coordination with the residential facility's operations. Contractors must take special care to minimize disruption to the occupied residence, secure tools and materials daily, and be prepared to repair any property or lawn damage. A pre-work meeting with DDSO Operations and Maintenance staff is mandatory to discuss specific safety requirements, and all applicable environmental testing will be provided to the contractor prior to work commencement.
