3. Section C para. 4.7

(a) Can you please define: "… and not leave substantial fouling or powder residue in the firearm". What quantity would be considered "substantial”?

This is a comparative evaluation against other manufacturers. Following the firing of a series of shots in a clean barrel, a single bore patch will be pushed through the test barrel and assessed for fouling.

(b) Can you quantify "a minimal amount of muzzle flash that is less than ….”

Minimal is quantified as the same as the current FBI service loading. High speed video will be used to determine the height/length and duration of the muzzle flash as compared to current FBI service ammunition.

(c) Can we purchase some samples of the current FBI service round for purpose of comparison?

Current service round is identified at bottom of page 10 and can be purchased directly from manufacturer / POC: michael.pattillo@vistaoutdoors.com.

Any deviation in powder charge with would prevent the carbine from cycling (lack of powder) or which would create a high pressure event (excessive powder).

5. Section C para. 5.2 How does one calculate the "… failure per 10,000 round sample of service ammunition ...”

What is the size of the total population from which this 10K sample will be drawn?

This is calculated on the total number of rounds per lot delivered and total number of failures.

6. Section C para. 5.3 How does one calculate the "… failure per 5,000 round sample of training & reduced lead training ammunition ...” - What is the size of the total population from which this 5K sample will be drawn?
