PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
PATROL BOAT REPAIRS
106TH Rescue wing 150 Old Riverhead Road
West Hampton Beach, NY 11978 October 13, 2022
1. SCOPE OF WORK
36’ Almar Boat Repair. The contractor shall provide all equipment, tools, materials, supervision and services necessary to complete the work as descried in this Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work location will be at the vendor’s place of business. Transportation of the Vessel will be the responsibility of the awarded contractor. See description of work below for more detail.
2. AREA OF WORK
The contractor shall work only on areas of the vessel which are outlined in this statement of work.
3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
36’ North River ALMAR Patrol Boat Repair: The vessel has been exposed to electrolysis and corrosion has degraded the mounting hardware on the (3) 2013 Yamaha f350 outboard engines. This contract is being released in order to restore the vessel’s operational ability. All motor mount hardware which connects each motor to their steering bracket assembly have rusted and will need to be removed. See Attachment 1.
All associated bolts, brackets, dampeners, etc. will need to be removed by any means necessary and replaced with new OEM Yamaha parts. All bonding wires are to be cleaned, inspected and replaced if needed ensuring proper protection from future electrolysis. Please Note: Each powerhead will have to be removed from its motor to access the area for repair. Next, with the power heads off, the shift shaft bushings on each motor are to be replaced. The shafts are to be cleaned of oxidation and debris, then lubricated and tested for function ensuring smooth shifting. The power heads will then be reinstalled with new powerhead (pan) gaskets and engine oil. If any other damage is noted during these repairs the Govt. Representative should be immediately notified and work stopped. The vessel is to be returned in the condition which it was received (clean and free of garbage/debris). The Quality and craftsmanship of all work performed is to be verified by a govt. representative prior to launching the vessel as well a formal sea trial with both the contractor and govt. representative prior to delivery.
4. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE
All work is to be completed within 60 days time from the contract being awarded.
5. MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
The awarded contractor is to supply all required materials as outlined in this PWS.
Specifically, Yamaha OEM parts. The contractor is to provide all parts, supplies and consumables needed for the repairs. Any leftover or excess material will be the property of the contractor.
6. HOURS OF PERFORMANCE
Hours of performance will be left to the determination of the awardee. Military hours for delivery, receipt and inspection will be Monday through Friday 0730-1530 Hours based on availability of personnel with the exception of scheduled federal holidays.
7. DISPOSAL OF MATERIALS
Disposal of all used materials and packaging will be the sole responsibility of the contractor. Any hazardous waste generated during the performance of this contract shall be disposed of in a proper manor.
8. SECURITY
The work shall be performed in a secured gated facility with restricted access when outside normal hours of operation. The contractor shall be responsible for the vessel, its equipment and contents while in their custody. This includes theft, vandalism or any other damage to government property.
