This solicitation is for the replacement of eight condenser water motor and pump sets at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center. The contractor will replace eight 75HP motors and pumps sets that are numbered 5 through 12. The work will be completed in sets of two, with no more than two sets worked on at a time, including testing. The contractor must provide submittals for the pump and motor equipment for approval prior to procurement. Scope of work includes replacing the equipment, couplings, performing testing and alignment to manufacturer specifications, and any necessary modifications. Work will primarily take place Monday through Friday from 0800 to 1630, and the contractor must coordinate with the COR for any water or steam shutdowns affecting other areas. Laser alignment of each motor/pump set will be performed. The contractor is responsible for cleanliness, tool and debris removal, and testing including leak checks, vibration checks, and verifying proper BMS operation. Any necessary VFD modifications are included. Completion of all work must be within 45 days of notice to proceed, and the contractor will inform the COR of any long lead pump/motor set items.
