Clarifications

1. Is this project intended to be a design-build or is it strictly design?

ANS: Currently, its intend to strictly design.

2. Understand that we would design to LEED without certifying LEED. Wondering what level LEED we would be designing to (Platinum, Gold, Silver)?

ANS: AE shall design the building to meet at a minimum “certified level”. Design toward this level and provide documentation toward this decision in their design. However, submission of project documentation to the USGBC for official LEED certification is NOT required for this project.

3. Because this is a Federal project, do I need to be licensed in NJ or will the states I'm already licensed in be enough?

ANS: Designers can be licensed in any state. However, in the case where a submittal is required to a NJ agency (i.e. Soil Conservation District, DEP, etc.) for items such as a water system approval or stormwater management plan, then WILL need a NJ licensed Engineer (or

Architect depending on the submittal) to submit to the State or Local agency.

4. Is there a maximum geographical distance between the service provider and the project location?

ANS: No maximum geographical distance. However, local office is preferable option.
