DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATION FOR THE Cargo Elevator Modernization and Upgrade

The 531 CMMXS requires purchase of Elevator Modernization equipment and installation. The use and availability of the elevator is critical to move parts and personnel to the second and third floors. The elevator is also required to be in operation for ADA.

CONTRACTUAL REQUIREMENTS

Delivery:

The contractor shall deliver the equipment to the following address located at Hill Air Force Base:

531 CMMXS

5790 Southgate Ave Bldg 503 Hill AFB, Utah 84056-5228

BASIC SERVICES

All activities shall be coordinated with the Government Point of Contact (POC), 531st CMMXS Facility Manager. This includes installation schedule, Hill AFB access, building access, modifications to building infrastructure, furniture, and/or equipment.

Contractor will complete all work during normal hours of operation for Building 503, which is from 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding Government holidays. If required, extended hours must be arranged with the Government 531st CMMXS Facility Manager.

No access will be provided to Government facilities on federal holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans’ Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed the day prior, on Friday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it is observed the day after, on Monday.

The contractor shall provide standard commercial warranties applicable to the products being purchased at no cost.

HEALTH & SAFETY ON GOVERNMENT INSTALLATIONS

While performing work under this contract on a Government Installations, the Contractor shall:

Comply with the specific health and safety requirements established by this contract.

Comply with the health and safety rules of the Government installation that concern related activities not directly addressed in this contract.

Take all reasonable steps and precautions to prevent accidents and preserve the health and safety of contractor and Government personnel performing or in any way coming in contact with the performance of this contract; and Take such additional immediate precautions as the contracting officer may reasonably require for health and safety purposes.

The Contracting Officer may (CO), by written order, direct Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) Standards and/or health/safety standards as may be required in the performance of this contract.

Contractor shall comply with all safety and health regulation requirements

WORK AREA

Contractor shall keep work area free from accumulations of waste, rubbish, tools, equipment, and materials at all times. Upon completion of the job or when away from the work site, the work area and shall be cleared, clean, and safe. Contractor shall remove and properly dispose of all job-related waste material.

Contractor shall maintain 100% accountability of contractor-owned tools at all times. Contractor personnel shall inventory all contractor-owned tools located in the work center at the beginning and end of each job task location change and at the end of each day/shift. Inventories must be documented and are subject to inspection by the Government and Security PM. Contractor shall secure tools at all times when not present at the immediate worksite Inventory discrepancies will immediately be researched and reported to the Government POC -Facility Manager, who will coordinate with the area supervisor. If a tool is identified as being lost, Contractor shall comply with Air Force lost tool procedures outlined within AFI 21- 101 AFMCSUP AFMCGM1 CH 10. The Contractor shall ensure contractor personnel are familiar with the 100% accountability of tools and the proper reporting for lost tools.

SECURITY

Upon contract award, contractor shall contact 531st CMMXS Facility Manager one week prior to installation to coordinate building access. Facility Manager will schedule and escort contractor personnel behind Flight Line gates. Contractor will provide the Facility Manager employee names and driver’s license numbers, or other means of positive identification of all employees who will access the installation. Foremen, supervisors, and superintendents must be identified on the list of employees. Contractor shall submit an updated list when an employee's status or information changes.
