P15PS01558 - JEFF ENCAUSTIC TILE RESTORATION

RE-SOLICITATION OF P15PS00137

The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior, is soliciting proposals from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described as follows:

The project entails rehabilitating the historic encaustic tile floor in courtroom 124 at the Old Courthouse. The main purpose of the project is to preserve and protect as much of the historical fabric as possible for future generations. Scope of work to include salvaging existing tile and clean mastic and filler material from tile and reinstall to the greatest extent possible supplemented with newly sourced encaustic tile to match existing to cover the entire floor. In addition, the concrete sub floor will be replaced in its entirety with new reinforced concrete slab prior to tile installation.

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238340 - Tile and Terrazzo Contractors, and the small business size standard is $15.0M. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of construction is between $250,000 to $500,000. This solicitation is advertised under Small Business set-aside.

A solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on or about 25 June 2015.

Hardcopies of the solicitation will not be provided. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor this website to download applicable documents and check for amendments. Facsimile or electronic submissions of proposals will NOT be accepted. This pre-solicitation announcement does not constitute a solicitation. Businesses are required to have an active registration in System for Award Management (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) in order to conduct business with the federal government. All responsible small business sources may submit an offer that will be considered.
