Question and Answers

How many people visit each park per day approximately?

I do not have any firm numbers but I can say the visitation is very heavy in all locations

Do you have anyone cleaning the statues?

Work is done by Volunteers through the regional conservator's office

How are the roads if it rains or what about inclement weather, what is expected?

The comfort stations are expected to be cleaned rain or shine. Traffic and weather may create delays but daily cleanings is expected.

The trash is the contractor's responsibility...are the any suggestions on where to take the trash?

We have trash cans located in the park.

Do we need to separate Recycleables?

No

Where are the other dumpsters located?

There are no dumpsters only cans located in the park. Theodore Roosevelt Island is a "Trash Free Park" There are no cans and trash will have to be properly disposed of elsehwere

1. Is there a previous contract dollar amount for any of the 9 locations?

Jones Point Park was for Monday through Friday year round for $1100 per month

2. Is there any money in the budget to do a deep cleaning of the comfort stations?

No. NPS will provide deep cleanings

3. On the site visit Mike said that TRI, Fort Hunt B and E will close in October 2015 and reopen in April 2016 including option years. Will the bid sheet be modified to accommodate the early closing of those 3 stations?

This has been done.
