About this file
This document is a justification for a sole source award for maintenance and repair services for an Olympus Soltive TFL-PLS endoscope at the Boise VA Medical Center. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to Olympus America as the original equipment manufacturer for base and option year maintenance/repair services valued at an estimated total amount from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2028. Olympus America stated in a proprietary letter that it does not authorize any third parties for repair and maintenance services of this equipment and does not sell original parts, tools or jigs to third parties, and use of non-Olympus parts could invalidate the device warranty and cleaning/disinfection instructions. The contracting officer certified the justification as accurate based on the information provided.
