2020 Workplace Summit - Planning Summary
About this document:
--This is a working draft of current planning efforts --The information contained within is PREDECISIONAL until finalized
Proposed Event Title: 2020 NOAA Workplace Violence Prevention & Response Virtual Summit: TITLE TBD: Working Well Together: Charting the Course to Workplace Wellness
Event Purpose: To bring awareness to the importance of wellness in the workplace. To engage the NOAA workforce in interactive and action-focused discussions on how to work together to create and maintain a work environment/culture that fosters respect, inclusion, healthy relationships, positive work-life balance and increased productivity.
So the purpose of the virtual summit is to begin a conversation with our workforce that focuses on the importance of workplace wellness which starts with working well together. Our leadership will discuss our core values of inclusion, dignity and respect and we will explore topics of how to transform our organizational culture into one that firmly upholds these values for each employee and contractor. The purpose of the (3) 10-15 minute 'mindful moments' is to welcome the day and help participants prepare themselves for being present in the summit.
