Specification Document for MX204 Procurement
I am requesting (2) Juniper MX204 routers, part number MX204-HW-BASE which includes the following: part number JPSU-650W-AC-AO-BB (JNP204 AC power supply, part number JUNOS-64-BB (JUNOS 64-Bit Standard Base Bundle), part number JNP204-CHAS-BB (JNP204 universal chassis base), part number JNP-FAN-1RU-BB (Universal fan, 1 RU, Base), and part number S-MX-4C-A1-C1-P (Software MX, 4C, A1, C1 w/out CS, perpetual), part number CBL-EX-PWR-C13-US (US power cable), and 12 month OEM service contract consisting of part number SVC-ND-MX204-B (JNPR Care ND SuptMX204-HW-BASEService Period :12 Months), part number SVC-COR-MX-4C-A1P (JNPR Care Core SuptS-MX-4C-A1-C1-PService Period :12 Months), and part number SVC-ADVCARE-P-GOV (JNPR GOVERNMENTADVANCED CARE PLUSService Period :12 Months).
This procurement will meet the following requirements:
1. IP router with minimum 400 Gbps system throughput.
2. Dual redundant power supplies.
3. Support for up to 24 10GbE, 4 40GbE, or 100GbE interfaces per chassis.
4. Support for BGP and OSPF routing protocols
5. Support for firewall filters/ACLS.
6. Support for stateful services and stateless filters L2-L4.
7. Support for JUNOS operating system to ensure compatibility with existing JUNOS routers. These units are to be used as spares for existing Juniper devices and will require JUNOS operating system to alleviate the time-consuming and expensive process of converting existing configurations to another vendor’s operating system resulting in additional costs to the Navy.
8. OEM service contract for above specified unit.
