C-130H FMS ENGENEERING AND SUSTAINMENT SUPPORT SERVICE

31 July 2015

1.0 SCOPE

1.1 BACKGROUND: The Aerospace Sustainment Engineering Services (SES) has the responsibility to provide engineering and sustainment support services for C-130H aircraft to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers. The primary objective of these engineering services is to collect and interpret discrepancy data/information and in turn develop and field useful corrective actions. This information is input and tracked into the Automated Inspection, Repair, Corrosion, & Aircraft Tracking (AIRCAT). The intent of SES is to provide a method for timely engineering response to US Government USG inquiries. The overall goal is to maximize aircraft safety, reliability and availability as well as overall life-cycle sustainment. It will also become a source of flight/ground safety information cross-flow on similar platforms/systems within NAVAIR and NAWCWD.

1.2 SCOPE: The scope of this effort is to analyze safety, maintenance and equipment discrepancies and, in turn, develop corrective actions and recommendations within designated times as determined by assigned priority

(provided below). The services outlined in this PWS will provide the Aerospace Sustainment Engineering results from C-130H operations through direct observation, analysis and reporting. The goal of this contract provides sustainment support IAW FMS guidance and directives. In addition, it will bring tangible benefits in the form of logistics, contracting and engineering support and external funding to NAVAIR and NAWCWD programs/codes.

This effort creates synergies between services that highlight NAVAIR and NAWCWD capabilities.
