This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring the dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes or proposals and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice.
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella, intends to issue a solicitation for award of dry-docking and overhaul of a USNS Ship in accordance with FAR Part 15 procedures. All repair work is to be accomplished at the successful contractor’s facility. In order to support the current U.S. Navy mission, this solicitation will be geographically limited to all prospective contractors that have the capability to accomplish the repair work with shipyards located in the Sixth Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR). For the purposes of this geographic restriction, the Sixth Fleet AOR is defined as the Mediterranean basin.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for these requirements is
336611. The corresponding Federal Supply Code (FSC) is J998. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) under full and open competition on or around December 04, 2018.
Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at https://euroneco.navy.mil or https://www.fbo.gov.
By submitting a proposal the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. By submission of a proposal, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that prospective awardees must be registered in the System for Award Management
(SAM) database prior to award. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements via the internet at https://www.sam.gov/.
