13. How many access points per building, both private WIFI and public WIFI?

15. How many ADNs (Area Distribution Nodes) between H-200 and H-135?

A: Will need to inquire with Cox Communication

16. Which 802.11 Standard of Wi-Fi is to be deployed, Syndetix Recommends the AC standard, and at a minimum the N standard?

A: 802.11ac — 802.11ac builds upon previous 802.11 standards, particularly the 802.11n standard, to deliver data rates of 433Mbps per spatial stream, or 1.3Gbps in a three-antenna (three stream) design. The 802.11ac specification operates only in the 5 GHz frequency range and features support for wider channels (80MHz and 160MHz) and beamforming capabilities by default to help achieve its higher wireless speeds < Caution-https://www.webopedia.com/TERM/8/802_11ac.html >

17. Are we to assume POE Switching is to be provided as part of the response by the contractor, as the service requested is for guest wireless and should remain Unattached/Discreet to the Government Network?

A: Yes

18. Does the Government wish to procure the equipment on as a capitol expense or as an MRC (monthly recurring charge)?

A: No

19. Is the connectivity to be provide by the contractor as part of the installation services?

A: Yes

20. Does the Government want Cat 6 or Cat 6a Connectivity for the Wireless access points?

A: Cat 6

21. Has there been an active or predictive wireless survey completed and a Heat Map developed? If not should this be included in the price to the Government? If so, can it be shared for pricing and planning purposes?

A: Initial heat map was done over 5 years ago when the facility opened.

22. Are there floor plans available to the contractor prior to award, for pricing and planning?

A: Yes.

There are infectious control requirements for executing this work that need to be accounted for also.

This is all typical for performing this type of work in a healthcare environment.

23. How Many floors and or telecommunications closets are there in the facility(s)? This will assist with defining the quantity of Switches needed.

A: Four floors with 26 communication closets.

24. Is there a requirement for outdoor coverage and if YES how many of the stated access points will be required for external service?

A: No.

25. As part of the service is the contractor required to provide post installation heatmaps?

A: No

26. Are there any requirements for bandwidth throttling (i.e. each user limited to the amount of bandwidth they can consume)?

A: Wi-Fi with a minimum of 50Mb/s download and 10Mb/s upload.

27. Can the service be cloud based or is the requirement to have a local wireless controller?

A Wireless controller is acceptable.

28. Post install is the contractor required to provide continuous support and maintenance, for the contract period?

A: Yes

29. Are there any special requirements for installation such as tenting and containment?

A: Will have to comply with hospital instructions.
