RFQ # N66604-17-Q-3049
Amendment 02: Industry Questions and Answers
Question:
10. Is there an existing AV system that these video walls are replacing? What type of AV cabling is to be run to each video wall? This is not known and we must know what that system is?
Answer:
Offeror is responsible for all cabling and interconnects to and from the equipment listed in the solicitation. The Government is responsible for the integration of the existing A/V to the
VCS.
Question:
11. Is there a block diagram or as built AV drawings showing what the video walls will be replacing?
Answer:
The block diagrams are not germane to the solicitation as the Offeror is not responsible for integrating the existing A/V system with the video wall and its components as answered in Q1.
Question:
12. Is the existing AV system being controlled by a Crestron or AMX control system? If so, does NUWC have the editable source code so that updates can be done without completely rewriting the source code?
Answer:
The Offeror is not responsible for the reprogramming of an AMX or similar control system.
Question:
13. We assume that there is an existing equipment rack for each video wall system. Is there at least 16 RU's of space for each Video wall? If not, (2) new equipment racks will need to be included in our response.
Answer:
Yes, there is existing equipment rack space at each location.
Question:
14. What is the distance between the equipment rack and the associated Video wall system?
Answer:
The approximate cable run lengths from the equipment racks to video wall displays are 150' to the 4x4 array and 75' to the 5 x 3 array. These are approximations and the Offeror should be prepared for longer or shorter cable runs.
