Attachment 3 Questions & Answers Solicitation N39040-15-R-0004 Questions & Answers resulting from Site Visit conducted on 2/11/15 These Q & A’s have been organized to correspond in order with the Performance Work Statement listed in Section C.

1. Question: How old is this barge?

Answer: The barge was built in 1945.

2. (c) Question: How much of the fixture drain piping will be left in place?

Answer: Remove all the way to the Deck, drain traps to be bronze. Drain piping to be copper.

3. (d) Question: The existing shower does not seem to be used – will that be removed or left in place?

Answer: Original answer was that it was to be left in place. After further thought/discussion, it has since been decided that the shower should be removed and a/n additional stall/s be installed with commode/s. The PWS has been modified with this Amendment to Solicitation.

4. (e) Question: Does the existing Mono-Rail system stay in the Machine Shop?

Answer: Yes, it can stay.

5. (e) Question: How far back does the existing electrical need to be pulled to?

Answer: Peel it back to the Breaker.

6. (e) Question: Will the bulkheads go all the way up to the overhead?

Answer: No, they can be stopped short of the overhead and a false ceiling will be installed.

7. (n) Question: Do external windows being replaced need to be efficient?

Answer: Double-Glazed is requested.

8. (s) Question: Will ceiling tiles need to be leveled or rehung?

Answer: Some level of grid work, rehanging and leveling will be needed.

Additional Information provided during Site Visit.

1. (b) Approximately half of this top deck will be used in a single-level with a pitched roof in both directions. There will be a walking area left around the outside with non-skid paint. Area to include electricity, LAN and Phone lines, no plumbing needed with the exception of HVAC.

2. (r) There are multiple layers of deck in place with varying depths of underlayment from 0 - 1-1/2”. Preservation of the underlayment to the maximum extent practical is preferred. Then skim coat to a smooth surface to apply PRC over this.

3. (u) Line Item “u” to be stricken from this PWS as the wall mounted lamps have already been removed.

4 (aa) Door brand used recently with optimum results was from Freeman Marine. Existing fire and steam piping to the right and left of the existing single door to be cut, capped, and abandoned in place to accommodate the double doors.
