The barge will be unavailable for occupancy from 29 November 2023 through 15 March 2024 for repairs. The contractor has the option to tow the barge to their own facility but must return it by the delivery date of 15 March 2024. The government will provide power, air, water and other utilities as needed but the contractor must provide any temporary services and equipment required to complete the work, and include pricing for these items in their proposal. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $25,991 per calendar day of delay. Pricing should still be provided to recertify the barge's alarm and control system even though it was recently certified, as the government wants to have it recertified before the barge supports scheduled operations.

The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number N32253-24-R-0002 to perform repairs on the barge YRBM32, issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command.
