Dive Boat Question and Answers
As of 01 March 2023
Question: For WI 631-20-001, Ref. 2.4, S9086-TX-STM-010, SSPC Painting Manual, Volume 2 (below), is the reference referring to “S9086-TX-STM-010” or to “SSPC Painting Manual, Volume 2”? These are (2) different and completely separate reference entities. It seems it was incorrectly put together as one reference. “S9086-TX-STM-010” is Naval Ship’s Technical Manual, CH-583, Volume 1, Rev 8 Boats and Small Craft while “SSPC Painting Manual, Volume 2” is SSPC’s actual paint manual. Both references are found in NMD, but we just need clarification as to which is the correct reference for WI 631-20-001, Ref
2.4. Please advise.
Answer: KTR to use Volume 2.
