QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
The following is an answers to a questions received from potential offeror. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
Question: Will you accept/entertain proposals that have rates over per night per –diem rate that are otherwise 100% technically acceptable?
Answer: Rates above the per-diem rates will be entertained.
Question: Will you consider expanding the required 5 mile distance between Hotels to meet the sixty (60) 1 Bedroom units for lodging accommodations?
Answer: The driving distance between hotels will remain in accordance with the Performance Work Statement-hotels will be no more than 5 miles driving distance between hotels.
Question: The state of California has implemented specific guidelines for hotel room cleaning. The most important cleaning protocol consists of limiting in-stay housekeeping frequency to reduce contact during each stay. This conflicts with the Performance Work Statement that requires daily cleaning, changing of linens, and replenishment of toiletries. Will your requirements change to meet the state of California guidelines?
Answer: If the State of California provided guidelines and this is verified, then this will be taken into consideration.
Question: Can you extend the miles to 49 miles? I do have one hotel that can handle all the rooms.
Answer: The mileage remains per the Performance Work Statement.
Question: When using 2 hotels--can the second hotel be 36.4 miles from mare island? the first hotel is within the 35 mile limit is less than 5 miles from the second hotel.
Answer: The mileage remains per the Performance Work Statement.
Question: Is this a new requirement?
Answer: Yes Question: We only have (8) 1-bedroom suites with a door between the kitchen/living and the bedroom. Will this be acceptable.
Answer: No.
Question: Will you accept fully furnished apartments for this RFQ?
Answer: Apartments are not being considered.
