STALECTRONIC 2200 WORKSTATION REPAIR MODIFICAION 1
1.0 ABSTRACT:
1.1 This item describes the requirement to repair the Cargo
Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Plant STALECTRONIC 2000 Control and Management System Master Computer Operating Station 2. Test and repair Cargo Refrigeration Units 1 through 3 and Air Conditioning Units 1 through 5.

3.0 ITEM LOCATION/DESCRIPTION:
3.1 Location/Quantity
3.1.1 Location: AMR 5-58-01
3.1.2 Quantity: One (1) Cargo Refrigeration Control and
Management System. Three (3) Cargo Refrigeration Units and Five (5) Air Conditioning Units

4.0 GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/MATERIAL/SERVICES: None
5.0 NOTES:
5.1 This ship contains High Voltage (HV) electrical systems.
The contractor and subcontractors shall obey all posted and verbal instructions regarding safety and exclusion from High Voltage areas. At no time shall a contractor or subcontractor approach, work on, or enter a High Voltage area without proper authorization.
5.2 THE USNS ALAN B. SHEPARD ELECTRICAL COLOR CODING DOES NOT
FOLLOW CONSISTENT COLOR SCHEME. THE SHIP IS KNOWN TO
HAVE CURRENT CARRYING CONDUCTORS COLORED GREEN, BLUE,
BLACK AND WHITE. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME ALL
ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE HOT UNTIL TESTED OTHERWISE. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL TEST ALL ELECTRICAL CABLES TO ENSURE
THEY ARE DEAD PRIOR TO WORKING ON THE ITEM.
5.3 All Electrical cables and components shall be installed
in accordance with the IEEE STD 45 Latest Rev.
6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None Additional
7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED:
7.1 Arrangements/Outfitting:
7.1.1 Period of performance has changed to Jebel Ali
located in the U.A.E. vice Bahrain.
7.1.2 The Period of performance has been changed to
execute between the dates of 28 May – 12 June.
7.1.3 Controls Specialist is required for a period of 4
days.
7.1.4 Refrigeration Technician is required for a period
of 3 days.
7.2 Structural: None Additional
7.3 Mechanical/Fluid:
7.3.1 Upon satisfactory installation of the Master
Operating Control Station #2 perform testing of Cargo Refrigeration Units 1, 2, and 3 and Air Conditioning Units 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
7.3.2 Verify Cargo Refrigeration Units 1, 2, and 3 can
properly start/stop and maintain all required parameters using reference 2.1.2.
7.3.3 Verify all units can operate on line when with
other units in operation without locking up.
7.3.4 Adjust unit components to correct out of tolerance
parameters.
7.3.5 Replace faulty components discovered during testing
and adjustment. Ship’s force will provide new components from on board spares.
7.3.6 Verify Air Conditioning Units 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 can
properly start/stop and maintain all required parameters using reference 2.1.3.
7.3.7 Adjust unit components to correct out of tolerance
parameters.
7.3.8 Replace faulty components discovered during testing
and adjustment. Ship’s force will provide new components from on board spares.
7.4 Electrical: None additional
7.5 Electronics:
7.5.1 Provide a new Master Operating Control Station #2
Computer.
7.5.2 Install all required hardware and load all required
computer software necessary to provide a fully functional Master Operating Station #2.
7.5.3 Ship the Master Operating Control Station computer
to BAT’s Warehouse for follow on shipment to ALAN
SHEAPRD.
7.5.4 Provide the services of one IMECO field support
technician to install and operationally test the Master Operating Station.
7.5.5 Verify the newly installed Master Operating Control
Station communicates and controls Cargo Refrigeration Units 1,2, and 3, and Air
Conditioning Plants 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 using reference 2.1.1.
7.5.6 Demonstrate in the presence of the Chief Engineer, 1ST Engineer, and Refrigeration Engineer functional testing that includes starting, controlling under loaded condition, and stopping Cargo Refrigeration Units 1, 2, and 3, and Air Conditioning Plants 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 using Master Operating Control Station #2.
7.6 Preparation of Drawings/Documents:
7.6.1 Guidance drawings- None Provided.
7.6.2 Working drawings- None
7.6.3 Redline drawings-None
7.6.4 As-built drawings-None
7.6.5 Service Reports:
7.6.5.1 A detailed service report shall be
provided detailing all service performed, as-found and document components replaced in each unit, documen operational test performance and set points, and any other pertinent information required for life cycle documentation.
7.6.5.2 The IMECO Technical Representative shall
orally brief the Chief Engineer of the status of the Cargo Refrigeration and Air Conditioning System prior to departure.
7.7 Inspections and Testing:
7.7.1 After systems have been restored, systems shall be
brought to operating temperatures and pressures in the presence of the ship’s Cargo Engineer. The ship’s First Engineer and MSCREP shall witness the unit in operation when the unit is at operating temperatures and pressures.
7.8 Painting, labeling and Markings: None additional
