SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been modified:

Q&A

1. Original PDF file attached is not working. New file is attached and the link is http://www.stellarindustries.com/downloadfiles/ Once at the page the vendor needs to open the "Hooklift Spec Book". The link is for information only. The vendor can verify with Stellar directly that the container that they are building will fit on the Stellar Slider65 hook system.

2. Will part numbers be provided?

Every company that builds these containers has its own part numbers. With the exception of the container that we call a Boeing box, all other containers are a standard container that can be purchase from a wide variety of vendors across the country. The Boeing box specification had some sample, reference only, drawings on it.

3. Do containers have to comply with Trade Agreement Act?

Yes

4. Have you purchased these items before? Do we have to provide all of the items or can we deliver a portion of these contract?

We purchased these before. We want all items at once; however, if you do partial delivery, you need to specify on your quotes when the delivery is (must meet delivery deadline).

5. Will detailed drawings for these containers available?

No

6. Please advise if the in use Roll Off Trucks with the Steller Slider 65 system will accommodate the Wastequip container standard 22'-0 length container.

Yes, containers that are 22' in length will fit on the roll off trucks. The vendor needs to verify with Stellar that the rails and stops match Stellar hook lift requirements.

7. Please advise of the weight capacity of the in use Roll Off Trucks with the Steller Slider 65 system. This weight capacity will dictate the hook height needed on these containers.

The weight capacity for the roll off trucks is 55K. The vendor needs to verify that they put the correct hook height on the container for this weight

8. Specification 1 and 2, 40 cubic yard rectangular container: No material thickness is specified for floor and wall construction. 30 cubic yard rectangular container: No material thickness is specified for floor and wall construction.

For reference, no thinner than 10 gauge on the floor and no thinner than 12 gauge for the wall of the container.

9. Is there any additional information or detail for the container lid of scrap box?

The word lid should have been deleted from the specification. It was an oversight and was used on an old specification. Please delete the word.

10. Cubic yard front load container: is there a need for a lock bar to secure lids?

No

11. Any further information for automotive underseal?

The automotive underseal or automotive undercoating “is a thick resilient coating applied to the underbody or chassis of an automobile to protect against impact damage.” The vendor should use a product that would meet this definition. The purpose is to protect the interior from damage of material being dropped inside on a daily basis and to further extend the use of the container.

12. Spec 5, 30 cubic yard asbestos container. No material thickness is specified for floor and wall construction.

See #8

13. Will the dewatering container require any drains or a sump?

Yes

14. Please provide steel thickness of floors/sides?

Steel thickness is up to the company to provide what they normally do when building a container. For reference, no thinner than 10 gauge on the floor and no thinner than 12 gauge for the wall of the container.

15. Do you require a ratchet binder on the door to ‘seal’?

Ratchet binder for the door to "seal" is not required.

16. 20’ 40 yd containers acceptable?

20' container length is acceptable for a 40 yard container.

17. Do you want representative drawings submitted w/ container bid?

If the vendor would like to provide representative drawings we will look at them but I think it is still up to the vendor to ensure the container meets all local, state and federal requirements and laws for building a roll off container.
