SECTION A - SOLICITATION/CONTRACT FORM

The required response date/time has changed from 19-Jan-2022 12:00 PM to 02-Feb-2022 12:00 PM.

The following have been added by full text:

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS AND ANSWER

Question 1:

Will the ultimate destination for the motor assembly will require an export license and subject to the ITAR?

Answer 1:

The required motor assemblies are required to be delivered FOB Destination to NUWC Division Keyport.

Question 2:

The drawing for the motor P/N 3242563B requires extensive qualification and sampling testing. Will the tests the contractor performs according to this drawing be sufficient for end item First Article testing requirements?

Otherwise, it would seem, the same testing would be required after assembly of the gear to the shaft.

Answer 2:

NUWC Keyport will be performing a higher-level assembly fitment and functionality check with the First Articles after the gear is installed. First Article testing is to be in accordance with the drawing/specification.

Question 3:

The solicitation references 52.215.20 Requirements for Certified Cost or Pricing Data - Is this only applicable if our response to the solicitation exceeds the TINA threshold?

Answer 3:

Certified Cost or Pricing Data is not required with proposal submittal but may be requested if needed.

Question 4:

What happens if technical proposal submittal exceed 30 pages?

Answer 4:

Per Section L, Proposal Submittal Requirements Technical proposals are limited to thirty (30) pages not including a quality management plan if submitted and the Past Performance Questionnaire. In the event a Technical proposal exceeds 30 pages, the excess pages will be removed prior to evaluation of the proposal.
