Statement of Work Advanced Climate Analysis and Forecasting (ACAF) System Software Maintenance Support
Introduction The Advanced Climate Analysis and Forecasting (ACAF) System is a web-based tool operated by the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC) that allows users to interrogate a variety of climate datasets for the purpose of creating climate-related products for operational support. ACAF is accessed by users at FNMOC and other sites worldwide.
FNMOC requires ongoing ACAF software maintenance support to remedy functional defects, interface issues, output and display problems, and any other type of performance problem that arises during use.
Software maintenance support applies to ACAF versions currently in Alpha, Beta and Operations at all classification levels. FNMOC may identify desired changes in functional capability, dataset integration, or system architecture. All such additions or improvements are outside the scope of this maintenance support requirement.
Scope
2.1 The Contractor shall diagnose and remedy any and all problems with execution of the ACAF system. This includes isolation and repair of any and all software defects (i.e., "bugs") in the ACAF versions managed by FNMOC or issues relating to system deployment or updates and information assurance patches. Each such problem, defect, or issue shall constitute a separate Trouble Report (TR). Tasks include:
· Individually identify, track, and report the status of each TR using a method to be determined by the contractor.
· Consult via phone and email with FNMOC personnel and other users to define, assess, and remedy bugs and performance issues.
· Diagnose and solve all bugs and performance issues as they are reported by FNMOC.
· Resolve any issues that may arise with the ACAF system that relate to system updates as they are reported by FNMOC.
· Address and determine the solution to any issues that relate to information assurance patches as they are reported by FNMOC.
· Prepare recommended changes or inputs to system documentation and User Manual resulting from the TR and its resolution.
· Use a Quality Management System to ensure services are performed and documented in accordance with the contractor’s internal controls and meet the acceptable levels of quality specified herein.
2.2 The scope of support does not include Research and Development or software design and development.
2.3 Upon mutual agreement and as determined on a case-by-case basis, support may include minor changes to GUI captions and labels or to output formatting and labeling.
2.4 Support work will be conducted via phone, e-mail and Subversion repository at an unclassified level but may support ACAF deployments at any classification level.
