About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a federal solicitation for furniture reorganization services. The solicitation seeks to award a contract to reconfigure existing furniture within a classified storage facility for the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command over a period of two days within four weeks of award. While pictures and layouts of the facility cannot be provided due to security classifications, the contractor will be responsible for supplying Ethernet cables as needed but will not be responsible for making any electrical connections. Clarification is provided that the four-week performance period refers to scheduling the two days of work between the date of award and four weeks later.

Questions and Answers
Q: Are there any previous solicitations and/or contracts in the past that are similar and can be referred to?
A: None to provide at this time
Q: Are there pictures or a schematic layout to refer to?
A: No. Due to the facility space being classified as "open storage secret," we are unable to provide pictures and do not have a layout.
Q: Will the contractor be responsible for making new electrical connections if reconfigured layout does not work for current electrical connection
A: No they will not be responsible for making new electrical connections. If needed we would procure a power strips and connect to existing outlets. However, they would need to provide red and or blue Ethernet cables of sufficient length if needed.
Q: Can you provide some clarification on the schedule listed in the solicitation?
A: Once the contract is awarded, we require the service to be completed within 4 weeks from whatever that date will be. This is a date(s) that will be worked out with the requiring activity after award. For example, if the contract is awarded 7/1, the vendor would have from that date up until 7/29 (4 weeks from the award date) to schedule the two days to come in and complete the service. This allows some flexibility for both parties’ schedule.
