Question 1. Is contractor to remove existing machine from premises or to load on government provided trailer or laydown area for transport to DRMO?
Answer 1. No longer applicable. Government has deleted the requirement for seller to remove old equipment.
Question 2. OR Is contractor to dispose of existing machine?
Answer 2. No longer applicable. Government has deleted the requirement for seller to remove old equipment.
Question 3. What is are weights, dimensions and lifting points of existing machine?

Question 4. Will contaminants and fluids be removed or is vendor responsible for clean-up for transport?

Question 5. What is make, model number and specifications of existing machine?

Question 6. In addition to removal and/or load out of existing machine; is contractor required to provide riggers for offloading the FOB ORIGIN Government provided transport…because that has never worked and government contracted trucks never arrive when promised so how would that be coordinated and compensated for?
Answer 6. No longer applicable. Government has changed the requirement to FOB DESTINATION.
Question 7. What is address location of existing machine…building and column number. Contractor’s riggers must have access to properly price this portion of the bid requirement along with a floor plan, aisle width, overhead height entry/exit door width & height?

Question 8. What is expected for “INSTALLATION”? FINAL ELECTRICAL CONNECTION? ANCHORING & LEVELING? How far is stub out for electrical if not final connection. What is the rating of the disconnect and breaker to service the new machine? What power is available?
Answer 8. Seller shall provide MARMC with a schematic of electrical requirements for machine and MARMC will hook up to power. (No outside vendor can connect to MARMC’s power in building.) Once power and machine is installed vendor to test to ensure machine is operating properly and provide training on proper procedures and operation requirements of machine.
Question 9. IS the location MARMC? Or another Norfolk facility?
Answer 9. Installation is at MARMC Bldg. CEP-200, 9170 2nd Street, Norfolk, VA. 23511
Question 10. When could riggers visit facility? 05/14 is not enough time to make such arrangements!
