REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
RFI’s
Question 1:
We do not offer a 50mm x 10mm guard column. Our prep column customers and internal scientists use a 30mm x 10mm guard to protect their 50mm prep columns. Since the length is only 10mm, there is very limited impact on the resolution or the back pressure experienced by the prep LC system. Essentially a bed that small is simply used as a filter and a 50mm ID guard would add a substantial expense. Would the 30mm x10mm guard be acceptable?
Government Response:
A 30mm x 10mm guard would be acceptable.
Question 2:
An amino group is a functional group that consists of a single nitrogen atom bonded to two hydrogen atoms (NH2). If it is attached to an organic compound (contains carbon), it is classified as an amine. You have a requirement for amine and our products are described as amino (NH2) with is a single nitrogen atom bonded to two hydrogen atoms. Would our amino (NH2) column be acceptable?
Government Response:
The amino column would still meet the requirement.
