STATEMENT OF WORK
Code 6530 – Performance Evaluation Branch / Structures and Composites Division Test Bay Camera System
Contract Applicability:
New Order
SECTION 1.0 - OBJECTIVE
Procure required camera and recording equipment to ensure a fully functional and compatible surveillance system. The equipment will be installed at a later date and is not a requirement of this acquisition.
SECTION 2.0 - SCOPE OF WORK
The contractor shall provide technical sales information about the needed videography hardware based on NSWCCD requirements. Provide technical explanation to why the selected hardware is the best suited for the codes requirements.
One of NSWCCD responsibilities is the documentation of testing efforts for the final report and completion of stress/load qualifications in several test bays. This requires that video be captured of all specimen, equipment, installations, and operations during the test series. Additionally, Code 653 uses photographic and video equipment and photogrammetry software to capture and process data from static, shock and vibration tests. The video cameras we are currently using are obsolete and no spares exist. This camera system will allow capturing of test phenomena throughout the different test bays. Additionally, upcoming projects require multiple camera setups for the photogrammetry and videography. Several of the required angles will be in hazardous areas while test items are under load. This system will allow for the multiplication of angles and focal points while in a safe location. It is imperative that all of the listed hardware be compatible with each other to come together as one system.
