Additional Questions / Answers regarding MATH-BAA
Q35) I interpret your Bidders Conference Q&A #23 as a willingness to accept proposals with less than a fully integrated solution. My concern is how we are to demonstrate our proposed technology. The Bluegrass data sets appear to require "contact" extraction. Will there be alternate data sets or possibly "Stage II" Bluegrass data sets to which we could apply our data fusion algorithms? If not, how do we demonstrate our technology?
A35)
- There is no plan to provide any sort of "stage II" Bluegrass data set.
- As far as alternate data sets, whether or not the other data sets at the SDMS website at the link provided in the BAA would be helpful for an offerors demo is a decision that would have to be made by the offeror.
-- If someone wanted to provide additional data sets to support their demo, as indicated in the Bidders Conference Q&A # 5, "While the BAA requires that you use a particular collection of resources as part of the deliverable, there is nothing to restrict you from offering additional demonstrations or datasets as well."
- As indicated in the Bidders Conference Q&A # 4, "demonstrations must at least be done on the Bluegrass dataset provided." If an offeror is unable to do that, their proposal would be not be accepted.
