Question: “Is it acceptable to revise the schedule to move delivery from 90 days ARO to 180 days ARO?”

Answer: This is a time-sensitive acquisition. A delay of this degree is not acceptable and will significantly degrade the effectiveness of the solution.

Question: “Is it acceptable to revise the schedule to move delivery of follow-on units from 30 days after previous delivery to 60 days after previous delivery?”

Answer: This is a time-sensitive acquisition. A delay of this degree is not acceptable and will significantly degrade the effectiveness of the solution.

Question: “Is it acceptable to revise the SOW to remove the requirement to provide installation? Would supervision of local trades be acceptable?”

Answer: Installation is a requirement. It is acceptable for the prime awardee of this contract to sub-contract the local installation of each unit to local trades. The prime contractor is contractually responsible for successful performance of all requirements. The exact method of the installation is up to the prime contractor.

Question: “Would you like us to quote the air cooled eddy current dynamometer solution or the AC dynamometer solution for the transmission stands?”

Answer: The Government cannot provide advice on a solution to meet the requirements. Vendors' solutions should satisfy the solicitation's requirements at the lowest price to the Government.

Question: “Will [AC dynamometers at the output of the transmission] be an acceptable alternative [to air cooled power absorbers]?”

Answer: Yes, AC dynamometers at the output of the transmission will be acceptable for meeting the requirement in 1.3.6 assuming they are air cooled and meet the other requirements.
