Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program Procure & Commission Digital Electric Meters

Response to questions

Q1: Is there or will there be any Information Assurance(IA)/Cybersecurity requirements associated with this RFP/SOW/AMI Project?

A1: Yes, The Offeror must have Authority to Operate/ Risk Management Framework (RMF) certifications for PM8244RD.

Q2: We are confirming that the meters physical installation/labor shall be provided by others?

A2: The Government of Japan will conduct the installation of all devices.

Q3: Is there a pre-solicitation meeting or site survey scheduled?

A3: No

Q4: Engineering Services - Note: To commission 110 meters for various DPRI projects in MCAS

Iwakuni, Japan. Configuration setup, Commissioning, and Activation. Does this desired AMI

Engineering Services work require integrating the meters (110 meters) into a software application/ front-end system? If yes, please identify the software front end.

A4:. Perform system commissioning to verify proper meter functionality and to integrate the meters into

MCAS Iwakuni's Schneider Ion Enterprise version 6 DAS.

Q5: We assume that voltage, current, and communications will be resident/active on each meter prior to its commissioning?

A5: Yes.

Q6: What would be the anticipated/required (Engineering Services) contractor mobilization time frame in

Japan (at Iwakuni) post equipment delivery/installation?

A6: From Jan-April 2017.
